Me and my son chose to walk to the top for the challenge and then we caught the lift back down again. Lovely views at the top. While the top floor is open, it is enclosed by enough protective netting so you don't feel queasy. Alternatively, there is fully enclosed floor just below. Recommend.

Trully astonishing monument, dedicated to pidgeons who were vital as couriers during WWI. Never saw anything like this, amazing tribute.
