This region is home to 700 miles of coastline and 90 islands, including Fyn, the third largest island in Denmark. Also known as "Funen," this attractive island of thatched farmhouses, myriad beaches, forests, beaches and grassland offers gorgeous Kattegat and Baltic views. The most popular spot is quirky Odense, birthplace of Hans Christian Andersen, but don't miss Ladby's Viking ship grave, where the remains of a 72-foot longship, burial site of a 10th-century Viking chieftain, have been excavated.

The statue is situated in the water by the park and has so many features, it sprays water from its nostrils, has fins and is by far the coolest statue I’ve seen in Denmark The location is also pretty spectacular, there’s like a lock where the water is on different levels, gargoyles spitting water at the edge of a small waterfall, green space, trees and nature I don’t know the story behind the statue but will look it up because it’s just that damn cool

It was the first place I visited in Odence. The monument has some sublime enerfy which could make you a time traveller... Of course if you had read Adersen's tales.

I am glad that I arrived to this statue when it was dark already because illuminated it looks ingenious. It became my favorite statue in Odense.
