Conquering New York in one visit is impossible. Instead, hit the must-sees – the Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty, Central Park, the Metropolitan Museum of Art – and then explore off the beaten path with visits to The Cloisters or one of the city’s libraries. Indulge in the bohemian shops of the West Village or the fine dining of the Upper West Side. The bustling marketplace inside of Grand Central Station gives you a literal taste of the best the city has to offer.

A rare statue of real-life, historical named women. Sojourner Truth, Susan B Anthony, and Elizabeth Cady Stanton are honored here.

Located in Central Park, this statue usually has children climbing all over it.
The Alice in Wonderland statue is a charming place to visit when in New York, particularly in the snow. We visited on the Monday after Thanksgiving 2019 when it had just started to snow, and the park was delightfully peaceful with very few people around. It was my first visit to Central Park, but I imagine there are usually a few more people around!

Visited Central Park over Thanksgiving Weekend 2019, and a stop off for a photo op at the Hans Christian Anderson statue was a must given how much of a bookworm I am. Wonderful large bronze statue of the author alongside his ugly duckling, and how touching to see it is dedicated to the children who lost their parents at 9/11.

Excellent stature in very bright colour at the corner of Central Park and 5th Ave. looks striking and great when sun shines on it!

Great peaceful place to remember John Lennon and his great contribution to popular culture and music.

The best way to see this authentic and ancient Egyptian obelisk is from the comfort of the snack shop inside the Metropolitan Museum of Art Fifth Avenue, the Petrie Court Cafe. While you are sipping a cool drink you will have a perfect view of Cleopatra's Needle framed in the floor to ceiling window looking out onto Central Park. The museum is a must see...allow plenty of time for it. Please note there is no direct entry to the Petrie Court Cafe from the park side....much to the disappointment of numerous park visitors each and every day!

Just off 5th Avenue and 79th street and inside Central Park this group of bronze bears is a real draw for the kids who tend to climb all over them. Excellent to see and the detail in the bronze sculpture is very good.
