Great bit of history and well worth the walk to read the poetry inscribed all the way around the monument. Takes you back in time and monument is surrounded by a ha ha. That’s a ditch to keep the cows out that cannot be seen com a distanced ????

Walking back from the town centre to the Waterside Theatre, I stumbled across this great Bowie statue hidden away in a walkway. Absolutely fabulous and worth taking a look.
