Sydney offers plenty of historical and contemporary Australian flavor. The marvelous Sydney Opera House looks like a great origami sailboat, floating peacefully in a harbor. Wander the narrow cobblestone streets of The Rocks and then take in a street performance on the Circular Quay before heading into the Museum of Contemporary Art. The views from the Sydney Tower Eye observatory are epic – use this chance to get to know the layout of the city from high above.

Incredible views, regarded as Sydney’s best in the ku-ring-Gai national park. Plenty of parking. There is a 50m walk from car park to the lookout. The views are spectacular over broken bay and the radiant waterways below. The lookout itself is a large sandstone viewing area with a number of informative signs. Stop and focus on the bird and waves and then immerse yourself on the Aboriginal heritage walk

The views from Observatory Hill are lovely, with Harbour Bridge, North Sydney, and Harbour west of the bridge particularly prominant. Around sunset is a great time to visit.

Worth the climb to the top for great views of the opera house and across the city and harbour. Ticket included if you do the bridge climb. But be aware its 200 steps to the top!

Dawes Point Park is located adjacent to the southern end of the Harbour Bridge, a 15 minute walk from Circular Quay, 10 from The Rocks. It is perfect for sitting quietly and enjoying the harbour views. There are a number of attractions nearby so some research before you travel will enhance your trip.

This particular section of the Spit to Manly Wharf walk was memorable for its bush land surroundings and amazing views of Manly coastline. The walk in this section is mainly flat so it’s easy to get through. Heaps of lookouts but what stood out for me was the various bush flowers (not sure of the name, but it’s white with orange centre) that I’ve never seen before, quite a treat.

A scenic spot to get lost in the nature’s beauty, standing atop a hill looking down at the waves touching the shore, skyline touching the sea at a distance, surfers and hang gliders and lot more... A nice coffee from the cafe to sit, relax and enjoy.... It was totally an amazing experience .... Never miss it

The outlooks from The Gap are just fantastic, with the sandstone plateau on which Sydney lies ending abruptly, with high, near-vertical cliffs that end in a jumble of broken boulders and pounding surf about 40 metres below. The location has long had the unfortunate reputation as the place where many anguished Sydneysiders go to end it all. No doubt, the cliffs here are treacherous and are now fenced off to keep visitors from straying too close to the end. The lookout is an easy stroll from the Watsons Bay ferry wharf and you will also pass by if you are doing walk between Watsons Bay andBondi.
