Absolutely love this walk! It's a must for people who aren't as athletic and still want to experience the beauty and the views of the lakes, it's just a short walk from windermere and only takes you about 30 minutes to get the top! Which didn't take me long! absolutely breath taking views and a lovely pub just a short walk from it ????

I had never been to Cornwall before this trip. It was always too far, too much hassle, too much effort and you lose a large part of the day going backwards and forwards from London Sitting on the top of Cape Cornwall, I could have lost days without any effort and it would not have been any hassle. I spent a few days in St Just, and even after a hard days walking the coast path for 20 miles a time, it was completely effortless to walk down to the cape for the sunset. This place is beautiful, calm descends upon you like the night descends upon the day, and a gentle warm summer breeze blows away any tiredness. I was blessed enough to see the sun set on the horizon , gaze at Lands End, and watch a pod of dolphins swim from the south to north through the golden light of the sun upon the sea (sea ;) the photo. it doesn't do the scene justice!) Whatever weight of backpacks you carried on your shoulders all day, sit here, and watch the sun set , and the weight of the world will fall from you. To write more would be to waste your time. Just go and feel a place that can change how you feel

Walked from Mawgan Porth to the NT cafe at Bedruthan Steps on a blowy December day (it takes around 45 mins, and is a lovely walk). The NT cafe (and little shop) are both great - warm welcome with some delicious options for a light lunch. Both are also very cosy on a chilly day. Highly recommended. Ps. It’s worth mentioning that the actual stairs down to the beach from here are closed Nov-Feb (I think). You can still enjoy views from the look out point at the top but you cannot descend during the winter months.

Halfway through the Keswick 3 peaks route and my brother and I reached this gorgeous crag. It takes you up along a steady climb with stunning views to the west of Derwent Water.

I was on a circular walk of derwentwater and the suprise view really lives up to its name. Stunning location and a must see attraction

I think coastwatch should get a lot more publicity. We have a small boat which we launch in Teignmouth and it is great to know that we will be logged and if we don’t come back someone will know. These good people are not paid they give their time willingly, to make the sea safer for those who use it.

Had a lovely couple of hours walking Danny & Jasper around the Lingholm estate, our guide Natasha was very knowledgeable and super friendly, the alpacas were delightful, great weather, gorgeous scenery and beautifully kept grounds, we also booked the afternoon tea which was taken in the conservatory with a view of the walled garden and the lake, a perfect afternoon in a perfect location.

We parked in the Windy Car Park, which I believe is the closest car park, but not necessarily the easiest way to Leith Hill Tower. It was approximately 1/4 of a mile up very steep (and slippery steps, because of the inclement weather), and I would add, that if you have a lung condition, you would need to stop every few seconds to regain your breath - however, it took me about 20 minutes and I was very glad I did as the views are spectacular - 360 degrees from the top of the tower, which is free to National Trust Members. There are areas to stop off on the way up and there are picnic areas at the summit, as well as hot and cold drinks etc. There are easy to follow signposts to get one up and down the hill. I chatted with a very nice lady serving the drinks who recommended the Starveall car park as being the gentler, albeit slightly longer climb. One can also access Leith Hill from Ranmore Common and there were plenty of youth (probably doing their DofE) stopping to rest, have a drink and take in the views! My husband climbed the tower, which I attempted, but it really was a very tight, circular, and at times unlit stair case, so I came back down, but he said that at the top of the tower there is a table of what you are looking at view-wise. I would really welcome the National Trust placing such tables outside the tower for those who are unable/don't choose to climb the tower. It's truly a beautiful part of the North Downs and I would highly recommend it, despite the rainfall we endured!
