Lileo Hotel is not just a hotel, it is a converted and fully renovated Svanetian house, which belonged to an ancient family Niguriani, whose descendants are now the owners and the managers of the hotel. That's why every visitor immediately feels himself to be the most welcomed guest here, who is met and hosted with the legendary hospitality of Svanetian people. Lileo Hotel has 13 comfortable rooms, which have free WI-FI, shower, beautiful view from the window on mountains and svanetian towers, many have conditioning and balcony. The hotel is surrounded by local showplaces: old svanetian hous and towers, museum of Mikhail Hergiani, etnographic museum and the road to the cable car. The whole team of the hotel will help you to feel most comfortable in the hotel, and help you to organize your exciting journey in Svaneti.
Amid a tough walking tour, the shower and relative comfort of this place were most welcome – especially after a subprime option the previous evening in Becho (not on Tripadvisor). That said, the food, while decent enough, lacked flair and was cast into shadow by that of other hotels in Georgia. Puppies sitting in a box awaited us on our return one evening while nearby, a foal suckled her mother and piglets cavorted – so there is character here and a short cut will take walkers into the centre of Mestia in a jiffy.

As soon as we arrived the owner made us feel at home and took good care of us. Her service (advice, amazing support in organizing transportation in the area and back to Georgia proper, breakfast, tea, snacks, and her warm attitude) is worth alone the fare you pay for one night. Highly recommended! There are some minor cons you should be aware of: the beds in the outside cabins are a bit antiquated (you can feel every spring), the Bath room is a bit smelly, and the wifi is very slow. But considering the price one pays for one night all these issues are negligible. Real value for money!

Very central location in this small town but tucked away in a courtyard with a popular and very noisy restaurant. When a power cut occurs their generator cuts in and you can’t hear yourself think! The accommodation is clean and recent (yes with a silly wet room - emphasis on wet) with open landings for access. The people who run it seem to be a large extended family and they are very thoughtful and generous. Meals are great, traditional Georgian with loads of choice. Nothing is too much trouble for the attentive staff though they are obviously pretty new at running such a place.

They cancelled all individual bookings at the last minute to let a tour group stay there (cancellation sent by mail 3 days before arrival, guesthouse situated on the Mestia-Ushguli trek, no Wifi access). So after a long day hike, we ended up in this little village, along with several other hikers, without a place to stay and they didn't care. The owner even got angry at us for being upset. Warning for other travellers: don't trust bookings made here as you may end up in the same situation as we were!

Amongst the many guesthouses available in Mestia, Goshtela has the advantage of a great view on the mountains. Away from the main street it is quiet and has clean rooms, hot water, wifi, and a friendly host family.

We liked the place. The owner is a very nice lady. The rooms we took were excellent. Good breakfast and all the kitchenware one needs, good location, free wi fi, laundry machine in site. A large parking place.

The rooms are simple and clean, the beds comfortable and fresh. The bathrooms are modern clean and well kept. There is a common kitchen that guests can use which is great. wifi is available and is reliable. The host cares and personally takes time for his guests. In this area water and electricity isn't always assured. This place is heaven and reasonably priced.

Located in Mestia, Mountain Cabins has ski-to-door access, a garden and a terrace. 600 m from Museum of History and Ethnography. The accommodation offers free WiFi. Every room is fitted with a balcony. Each room has a private bathroom with free toiletries and a hair dryer. The units are fitted with a seating area.
