It’s ok - looks tired and run down. Kingsley, the manager seemed friendly. The lunch and dinner was a buffet style, not a lot of choice. The pool area was dirty and run down. Be careful when you order anything here, check the price. We had a buffet lunch and it was awful, the manager then charged us more then double what we would have paid anywhere else! Disappointing- they are suffering due to covid but should not overcharge customers because of this.

cannot say much about this Eco lodge, beat is the landscape. This could have been a marvelous place if it had been maintained in a regular basis. they do the cleaning only when thay get a booking only.food very basic and not worth for the price you pay.if check around can get a bettr place by the side of the main road.wich saves your time.pokuna is little bit better than a night mayer .

We had an awsome stay at Pranaths Safaris Resort! They cooles for ist a very tasty dinner (lot of vegetarian stuff), the bed and room was great, and the landscape around was amazing. Pranath showed us a pretty lake next to the resort and organized a safari for us. We would love to come back again!

We felt warmly welcome at Dinesh Resort. Dinesh cared us and it was easy to communicate/catch on him. Dinesh gave many useful information to us how to travel around Udawalawe. Dinner and breakfast was delicious and there were many local/special meals in front of us. Our room was a little bit hot because we had a room without A/C. We can recommend Dinesh, no doubt.

Before departing to Sri lanka, I was already watsapp communicating with Kuma, making arrangements and he did everything and more. His lodge is very comfortable and located right outside the only entrance of Udawalawe National Park. We initially wanted a full day in the Park, but he recommended something even better! Because of his knowledge and experience, he knows how much time is necessary to spend at the park without tiring us out under the sun. So early in the morning, he put us on his jeep and brought us to a lake for a River Safari. We really enjoy this morning trip, listening to the birds while waiting for sunrise on a misty clean lake. After lunch and a short break, we went to the baby elephants transition centre. And to end the day with the offroad safari trip in the park with an amazing sunset was just perfect start of our trip! Kuma’s lodge in the village is equipped with necessities to ensure that we are comfortable at all times. Homecooked Breakfast by his mama was so good that we ended up having lunch and dinner at his place too! Kuma works from the heart, and he made us feel thst he sincerely cared for us. In this difficult times for the people in the country, the locals strive on, continue to work hard, take it in their strides and carry on. It was pretty admirable.

Night stay in the Jungle in a tastefull equipped big canvass tent. What a whow experience. The place is very clean, beds are good, equipped with mosquito net. Shower is working without complain. Absolutely gorgeous breakfast. What a pity, that we didn't have dinner here. The young land lady is great. 6 out of 5 stars from my point of view.
