This lovely B&B is situated in a former peppermint candy factory. Only 5 beautiful appointed rooms. You book and pay for your stay in advance. You recieve your entry code for the frontdoor and your room by email. When you arrive just call the numbers on your mobile and thats it. It worked well! No reception, no greetings. Nothing, but it works very well for us. You can rent a bike via their website. Lots of info about Sneek and its surroundings can be found in the entrancehall. Super comfy bed. Nice LCD TV screen. A/C worked well! 5 min walk to centre of Sneek with lots of bars and restaurants. Next morning at 8 am knock on the door and the breakfastbox was placed before our door. Assortement of rolls, sugarbread, croissants, cheese, ham, Danish pastry, orange juice, boiled eggs. Coffee/Tea tray is in the room. Nespresso coffee! My favorite. We had a great stay!

Hi. we had a bad experience wit this hotel. we booked 2 Roms for 3 nights. The First day it was perfekt, the food, the room, the staff. The second day, we ate in the restaurant. We had to wait for more than an hour and my food was bad. I claimed it, but do to a misunderstanding, they brought the same meal, which i did not want. When Paying the bill, they wanted that i paid my food. When I said I would not pay, because the food was bad, the Staff leader or owner said: get your luggage and Leave the hotel. But she wanted us to pay for the night, even when i said I would Leave the same day. Then she said, that she never said to us to Leave the hotel. And that we could Leave whenever we wanted. This Woman is completely mad.

What can I say? Delicious food + tasty coffee, nice room, extremely comfortable bed, fresh air, beautiful views, singing of nature. Not enough electrical sockets, but otherwise everything was fine. I highly recommend this place! There is everything you need to rest! We will come back :)

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal sitting outside in the outdoor terrace at 't Wapen van Exloo. The food was amazing. The service was great with the added entertainment of a constant stream of farmers trundling by with their tractors, trailers laden with hay.

Located alongside the canal in a quiet part of Utrecht’s city center is Hotel Museumkwartier. This historic mansion, dating from 1350, has 6 hotel rooms. The hotel is located directly on the Oudegracht and is characterised by numerous authentic details, beautiful ornaments and high ceilings.
We stayed her with our family of four (two adults, one 8 and one 11 year old). We had the family room (room F, 2nd floor). Room F has single large living space with a living room / kitchen and bar and connected bedroom, as well as a stairs to converted loft with two single beds. It also has a small bathroom/toilet. The pro's: - Location is fantastic. It is in central Utrecht, within close range of tons of good restaurants, shops, museums and sight seeing opportunities - It's also about a 15min walk to Utrecht central station (which can then get you on fast trains to Amsterdam, The Hague and Rotterdam (all within 30-40min) - Building is authentically Dutch, Rooms are clean, spacious, staff are friendly - Breakfast in the morning is tailored to your wishes, delivered to your room at the time you want; and while they don't do everything (not sure you can get your eggs a 100 different ways, but we didn't push the limit there), the croissants and bread are fresh and lovely The small downsides: - The bathroom in room F is quite poky. If you are tall, you might struggle a bit. But if you don't spend a lot of time in the bathroom in the morning, this shouldn't bother you - The room we stayed in could probably do with a tiny bit of TLC. It does show some wear and tear. But I guess as Covid19 comes to an end, the owners will have more budget again to invest in it. It doesn't impact your stay at all btw - Some staff are a bit less more 'on the ball' than others and it shows in the attention to breakfast, the cleanliness of the room, etc. Nothing that ruins your day, but you clearly know who is on duty - Parking is not an issue, and there are good parking garages within 8-10min walk, but it will but you back €25/night. Best is to not come by car at all Overall it is a fantastic place to stay if you are in Utrecht. It's a residential house in central Utrecht turned into a B&B. Who could ask for more? Only thing to warn for is that if you are less mobile and find steep stairs tricky, this is probably not the place for you. There is no lift and the stairs are Dutch-style steep...

Very friendly service, great decor and a lovely quiet room. The only downfall was when we checked in we was told that breakfast was until 10.00, the staff member even pointed to the time on a sign. We came down at 9.45 and everything was packed away and the staff in the area told us breakfast was only served until 9.30. We was then told that it's until 10.00 on a weekend. Did feel a bit like we wasn't believed when we explained that we was told it was until 10.00. There was 2 of us,we both heard and saw the same thing.

We stayed in a Boomhut & woke up to giraffes & zebras wandering around in front of us & seals splashing around behind us. What an absolutely amazing stay! Very friendly, informative staff. So many different ways to see the Safari, walking, bus, car & boat. Great swimming pool over in the Lake Resort too & a fun morning spent in Speelland!

We visited D'Oeffenhoff with a group of 12 persons, 3 nights in the weekend. We had a wonderfull weekend! spacious cottage, 6 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, 2 kitchens. The weather was nice, so we used the Fatboy-hammocks: A real holiday feeling. We played Jeu-de-boules, Golf (at the Berckt, other side of the street; and 20km away in America). Good hiking in the neighborhood. We cooked our own meals: great kitchens. Liesbeth and Bart have a great sense of hospitably. We definitely will come back.

Spent one night at the Prikkels, mixed reaction to our stay. Positive side was staff very nice, friendly and helpful. Location was great in the center of the town, room size was good and clean. On the negative side, when we booked a room which was on the top floor there was no warning that they don’t have a lift and the stairs are very steep and narrow, very dangerous for people with suitcases like us or elderly, sadly not a mention. Second was the heating system, that night it kept switching off, I ended up waking up several times to reset it but the temp never went above 15c and so we ended sleeping in our jackets as at night no staff are available at all. So sadly that made our stay very dissatisfying.
