From sun-drenched archipelagos and bustling urban cities to snowcapped mountains and semi-arid deserts, Spain epitomizes geographical diversity. As the meeting point of the Atlantic Ocean and Mediterranean Sea, this vast country offers some of Europe’s most dramatic landscapes, as well as some of its tastiest cuisine.

La Posada is a place designed for the traveler leisure. The tranquility in each of its corners make you unwind and relax while you enjoy your stay in Granada. It has five rooms, all exclusively handcrafted and created.
This small hotel is high up in the Albaicin in a tiny side street. Taxis will drop you off at the end of the street and it a hairy experience as they navigate the tiny streets and tight corners! It has a lovely patio where a complimentary typically Spanish breakfast is served each morning. We had a room with a small shared patio from which there was a view if you stood of the Alhambra and the distant Sierra Nevada. The main patio serving all the rooms was lovely and a peaceful place to sit with many flowering shrubs. Our room was small but beautifully furnished and very quiet to sleep. The owner Ainhoa was fabulous and with Carmen, gave a very personal service; I was recovering from a broken ankle and the steep cobbled streets were not easy for me (note for anyone with mobility issues). Ainhoa recommended nearby fabulous restaurants and how we should see Granada in my circumstances and called us taxis which were so cheap and quick to come. I thoroughly recommend this as somewhere to stay.

Very friendly, very helpful and kind reception staff. Beautiful location with views across the harbour. The room was small but quite nice, the bed wasn’t all that comfortable. The only real gripe - our room was pretty much above the sea front pub that is open all day and closes around 11PM - it wasn’t possible to have the balcony doors open to fully enjoy the experience without having to endure the loud reveling of the many drinkers. We’d stay again but would insist on another room and would limit the stay to a maximum of 2 nights.

I stayed at the Hostal Mayor at the end of January which clashed with an international conference. Prices at the hotels were expensive but I found this accommodation at very good price. The single room was very small but clean and decent for the night I spent there. It is basic and good for a short stay. For longer overnights it might be better to opt for a larger room at the Hostal. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Enormous farmhouse in a nice setting just outside Llerena. It has been renovated in recent years and is decorated tastefully. We spent a nice afternoon by the pool. We decided to stay for dinner which in hindsight was a mistake as it was hugely disappointing and represented poor value. No working wifi.

This was my first stay at La Pajarona and I was very impressed with the house and all the staff. I and my friends will be returning next year. The town of Sirula is small and charming with a number of bars selling good food.

Not only is this hotel, the food, the vista and most importantly Maria (director of reception, waitressing, bar tender and general person of everything!) super .. but it is Maria’s favourite word! You only need to read the other tripadvisor comments to know how super special the Bennoc Hotel is! Derek and I can not wait to return! The chef is more than super… we have never eaten such food on this island as here!

We are a familiar business, whose challenge is to achieve that our customers have a rest and relax. We are located in a mountain village that has almost no services, so our place gives you the possibility of finding yourself, relax and forget about the annoying daily noise. You can disconnect for a short time from your stressed life. Foncebadón is being recovered as ending and start of one of the stages in the Way more and more. Our village lays at the top of the Monte Irago, emblematic place for the celts and where the "Cruz de Fierro" stands, a very special place for those who peregrinate to Santiago. Our story begins in 2013, when we inaggurated our little minimarket and, later on, with so much an effort, hard work and dedication, we created our place. A place that still has to grow and improve. For that reason and much more, we stand up every day wanting to fight for improvement, so that you can leave our shop with good memories of us. I our establishment you can find almost everything: we have 4 complete rooms, of which "La Xana" and "El Trasgu" are the double ones, "El Sumiciu" is a single room, and "El Cuélebre" is the one that is equipped for families or groups. All of them are decorated with a special dedication to the latest detail, so that you find yourself like home, good beds to make sleeping a good rest, TV, bathroom and wifi. We have also a restaurant where you can have a good breakfast, lunch or dinner with traditional cooking, using good quality and local products. In our minimarket, you can stock up of what you need any moment in day, or in your stage with us. We fight every day to be different.
The walk up to Foncebadon from the plains is substantial and tiring. It would have been less so had I known the super nice refuge waiting for me at the top. El Trasgu is right on the Camino and complete and very fit for purpose. A bar, restaurant, store with almost anything you could want and good hotel rooms. The building is stone and very much in keeping with the rest of the village. The dining room has walls of glass looking out to the mountains. There are terraces front and back but it was too cool to sit outside on the day that I stayed. No matter because the sun came blazing in through the glass into the dining room where it was bright and warm. The proprietor spoke excellent English which was very helpful to me. My room was tiny with a comfortable double bed that almost reached the wall on either side. The bathroom was also tiny but adequate with lots of lovely hot water. The section with the rooms has a common area with a large table. I struggled a little with the wifi password but once connected it worked well in my room, the common area and the dining room. All rooms were well heated which was necessary with the temperature below freezing in the early morning. I had the menu (pilgrim's meal) in the evening and it was well cooked with a good choice of dishes. I loved the unusual decorative touches throughout the building including a wall of different toadstool pictures, framed keys and lots of old family photos. El Trasgu is a gem and no one should think of staying elsewhere in Foncebadon.

El Secreto del Olivo is a 17th Century senorial or manor house that has been converted into a cosy boutique hotel, situated in the Lecrin Valley. This beautiful valley unfolds to the South of the city of Granada, in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada, descending towards the Costa Tropical The tranquil interior invites calm and relaxation with a central Andalusian courtyard with bathes in light each of the 10 ample individually styled bedrooms. Each one enjoying it's own ensuite bathroom and complimentary bathing products. Breakfast can be taken in the dining room, the courtyard, or on the terrace in the fresh air. The shady pergola of the roof terrace provides spectacular panoramic views of Sierra Nevada from comfy sofas. In Winter a log fire burns in the cosy lounge. Under floor heating and hot water are provided by our olive stone biomass boiler and solar panels. There is free WIFI throughout the property. A visit to the local olive mill in Niguelas where you will learn about the collection and pressing process, and where you can try our own ecological olive oil. The owners of El Secreto del Olivo, Ignacio, personally supervise the day to day running of the hotel with their friendly staff to make your stay at El Secreto del Olivo a happy one.
Hidden in Niguelas is the perfect little romantic getaway. Old style with modern twists. Good nights sleep although some traffic noise as commuters set off for work. Simple breakfast, just right. Best of all no tv in room .

Great quality for the price. Clean and quite. The owners are ready to help you, suggesting you a plan to visit the city and recommending you the best places to eat and drink. The breakfast is a steal for the price. Keep in mind though that to reach the centre of the city you must overcome a steep slope, although the views over the river canyons are really nice
