Encompassing two of the Netherlands’ three largest cities (Rotterdam and The Hague), Zuid-Holland (South Holland) is also home to important towns like Leiden, Gouda and Delft. And many lovely smaller towns dot the gorgeous green landscape. Alphen aan den Rijn has several interesting attractions, including Dutch history theme park Archeon. Picturesque Kinderdijk, birthplace of the legend of the Cat and the Cradle, also has many windmills that together are a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Ni Hao! Searching for an Asian experience in the heart of Rotterdam, look no further! This beautiful landmark hotel hosts incredible views of the famous river the Maas. Very large rooms are the ideal base for a city trip and to relax after a day of fun. New Ocean Paradise is a jack of all trades as the venue also has an Asian supermarket and all you can eat restaurant on board. The Asian Floating hotel is an ideal base to go out and explore Rotterdam, a world city that is host to beautiful architecture with contemporary design. We are conveniently situated in the centre west side of the port city. A small walk to the tram will get you to the city centre in about 8 minutes. It is only a 2 minutes’ walk to the Euromast, and 3 minutes to a large city park often host to spectacular (free) festivals. Visiting a concert at Ahoy? You won’t find anything closer; we are only situated 15 minutes away. Contemplating your next move in our world city? Use our free WIFI while enjoying the complimentary breakfast. Our staff speaks Chinese, English and sometimes a little Dutch. They will help making it a trip you won’t forget! See you soon.
Remember this place is a wonderful location, right in the center of Rotterdam. The Hotel - restaurant is a floating boat completely chinese oriented. No prob albeit you expected that. The Oriental Shopping Centre got famous all over the Netherlands, name it and it is for sale. The new restaurant and renewal of the boat contribute to making it a must. Amsterdam and The Hague got their China Town, Rotterdam got the Chinese Boat on the river Maas. For a delicious seafood dish it is worth a while.

I had recently booked this B&B for a colleague of mine who came over to Europe from Asia, for the first time in his life. I thought this was something different opposed to putting him in typical (boring) business hotel. The location is fantastic for foreigners. Tranquil location with nice panoramic views over the lake “Nieuwkoopse Plassen”. Martijn and his team went above and beyond to make sure all of our requirements were met; we also made arrangements to have a meeting facility during day time. Creativity was key here. All in all: good value for money. Quiet rooms (they will be modernized soon), good WiFi, a frequently changing dinner menu. And again very friendly and supportive staff. I highly recommend this place, also for business travelers who are fed up with the business hotels in their typically boring locations

A Bed and Breakfast in an old mansion is always a special experience. But NR22 is a very special place in Leiden, in the heart of the city. Our beutiful property is situated on the Nieuwe Rijn right across the Koornbrug Bridge, the most beautiful bridge of Leiden. With the front view of the Town Hall and at the rear of the medieval castle: The Burcht. The B&B houses in a characteristic building that dates from the 18th century and is a protected monument. The monumental beams are still visible, but otherwise it is completely modern and equipped with very comfort. Each room has a private bathroom and free internet.
Spotless, comfy bed, dreamy pillows, lovely hot shower, everything you need for your stay! Internet out of range but I’m sure the wonderful host Martin would have sorted had we asked! Beware the stairs, there’s plenty! Wasn’t a problem for us and there was a chair lift up the first flight should assistance be required!

We found this place slightly disappointing given the 5* reviews. Basically it was fine and the garden goes down to the canal which is very scenic but guests are not permitted to access the canal-side - maybe safety? There is a generous offer to use breakfast goods to make a packed lunch - even food bags are provided. Our room was large ...... but not particularly comfortable. The shower over the bath had the first plastic shower curtain I have seen in a long time. There was just something about the place (and it's difficult to to a finger on) that wasn't very welcoming.

The property is beautifully decorated and I do like environmental/sustainable places but this was missing important things which is infuriating and made the stay unpleasant. My partner booked this as a midway point for cycling from Vlaardingen to Amsterdam. We arrived completely soaked to the skin at 6pm. The owner was not there but her daughter showed us to the lodge, I had to ask where to store the bikes. The room would be very nice if dry or in the summer but certainly not in our circumstance. The heating was set to 18c - far too cold for Feb eve anyway. We struggled to increase it but failed. There was nowhere to dry our things - even my boots were wet through and we had to cycle on the next day. Eventually we called the owner who told us the heating was set by her by computer and she would increase it. There was no sign of this happening and she did not offer to come and take a look. At 9.45 and still seriously cold I whatsapped to ask if it were possible to dry our clothes somehow and she offered us to use the dryer in the morning if things were still wet. We also did not know how to operate the tv as it was a smart tv which neither of us own and no description. Wi-fi was offered as free on the booking confirmation but no info re a password - we had to ask for this. It dropped out frequently. In the morning we missed a message saying we had to get our things to the house by 9 as she was going out - when we saw the message we phoned but she had gone out, promised to ask her daughter but rang back to say the girl was ill and was not answering her phone. To be fair it was not the owners fault a) we arrived by bike nor b) the weather was so poor, but given the weather was so awful and she was not there to let us in and no instructions about anything in the property I feel she should have made an attempt to contact us - her daughter who let us in would have seen how wet we were and that we were on bikes. Added to this - the shower had nowhere to hang towels close to it and no shower gel nor place to put our own products - this is hopeless and a bugbear of mine. The toilet roll holder was so close to the toilet seat it wasn’t possible to access the paper when sitting on it! The bed is lovely but it’s position in the room means one user has to bend double getting in and out to not hit the head on the ceiling. Nowhere to turn the main lights off from by the bed and only one bedside light. Great to have recycling bins to use but not labelled so no idea which to use for what. We spoke to the owner in the morning and she offered a free night. I think we should be offered a partial refund. However said all this if you arrive either in a car or in good weather it might be lovely.
