Reviewed By DonDan666The first thing we noticed about this guesthouse is that the woodwork outside the room badly needed a coat of paint. Not a good sign. Inside the room there were a number of things that showed us that the owner has little understanding of customer service and needs (we booked two rooms and there were the same deficiencies). For example: 1. the double beds had only one bedside table 2. there was not a single chair in the rooms 3. the bathroom had plenty of wall space but not a single hook to hang your clothes on when you take a shower (what are you supposed to do, dump them on the floor?) 4. There was no soap in the shower - you had to move the small dispenser from the sink, then take it back 5.The bedroom had no hooks or cupboards, only a recess with a bar and two coat hangers 6. logging on to the internet was hit and miss 7. the breakfast was poor: Nescafe from small sachets, eggs and sausages that quickly got cold etc. - for some unknown reason there was no hotplate to keep the warm food hot. This is nowhere near a 3-Star hotel, and we won't be going back.

Beautiful place, homelike atmosphere
Reviewed By Orits1When arriving, we were amazed by the beautiful blooming plants and flowers. It's all so green everywhere! The hosts are so nice and kind, they drive you to the floating market and back at any time you choose, that's part of their regular service, and when we planned a travel for the next day which was a little complex logistically - the whole team gathered to think and discuss possible solutions. They made some phone calls and in the end found a good and inexpensive solution for us. This place is really authentic, also breakfast was (and very good by the way). The only downside, really the only one, was the mattresses. They were so hard, as if you sleep on a board...Part of the authenticity I guess...

Simple mais parfait
Reviewed By Derrière lNous avons reçu un accueil exceptionnel du jeune propriétaire, qui nous a proposé de nous emmener gratuitement dans sa voiture personnelle passer la soirée sur un petit marché situé à une quinzaine de minutes de là. Ce qui nous avons fait. Les chambres sont simples mais propres. Terrasse agréable sur la rivière pour le petit déjeuner.

Reviewed By gaby gon etait ravi d'aller ce petit hotel au bord du fleuve. quelle deception. ok, la chambre etait correct et propre mais pour le prix c'etait decevant. en + nous avons eu la desagreable surprise d'avoir un concert juste le bar d'a coté jusqu'a minuit. le PDJ je n'en parle meme pas. c'est honteux. il n'y avait rien le staff est d'une mediocrité et le plus marrant c'est qu'en etant au bord du fleuve ils ne servent pas le PDJ dehors. je pense que le staff etait faineant. donc PDJ a l'interieur.quel est l'interet au bord du fleuve si les clients ne peuvent en profiter. bref je deconseille cet hotel.

Nice place to stay but hard beds
Reviewed By sinasta95A very nice place by the river with cottages. Fresh pomelo right off the tree. The cottages are simple but ok. The beds are very hard which resulted in a sleepless night. Otherwise a nice place. We had dinner there and the food was good. Breakfast was simple but also good. The host speaks very good English and was very helpful. Bring mosquito spray.

Reviewed By SoloistProHighly recommended for those who want to take things slow and get recharged with positive energy. Amphawa is truly the place for a quiet and peaceful weekend. Thanicha is located in middle of everything. With the the market only a few steps away. The tranquility of this place will take you away from the bustling of the big city. Modest but very clean rooms. The breakfast was hearty with traditional Amphawa specialty. The staff and the owners were very nice and friendly as if you are staying with a friend’s family. I went there twice during the semi travel restrictions due to the pandemic in November 2020 and again in April 2021. I will definitely stay here again.

They provided transport and directions to the Amphawa floating market which is conveniently close by. We couldn’t have asked for a better environment to experience Thailand in.
