Park Side Safari Lodge is located 2km away from Tangi gate of Murchison Falls National Game Park. The lodge is situated on the shores of the Albert Nile, favorable for walks and canoe ride. With many species of birds such as the rare shoebill along the river the, lodge reserves the best destination for bird lovers, Elephants,Uganda Kobs, Jackson Heart beasts, Buffalos, Oribis etc
Park side safari lodge is a great Accomodation with a super view of the River Nile. Right from the staff especially the manager Tom to the rooms and food were all beyond my expectations. I give them 5\5 stars. Keep up the good work parkside

Our 10 tawny step thatched cottages are large and comfy with attractive furnishing making each one exclusive. They are open plan with a double bed and two single beds, including en-suite bathrooms. Their wide windows overlook the Albert Nile allowing you to sit back or lie back and soak in the view.
It's a great place to stay during your safari. The rooms are nice and staff is friendly. Great location by the lake! ps: if you are lucky enough to sit by the fire and listen to Onen Haron play some music you will have an amazing time.

Beautiful grounds, well maintained and updated. Comfortable rooms with exceptional views and friendly staff. Breakfast overlooking the courtyard was the best! Walking distance to town. Will definitely stay here again.

A quiet, modern hotel about 300 meters from the business center of Gulu town. We maintain evergreen garden and vegetation for fresh environment. Our rooms are furnished with five star equipment and beddings and are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness for your luxury. Rooms have ACs, mosquito nets & window screens, DSTV of flat TVs, hot water and balcony.
WORST EXPERIENCE AFTER A YEAR IN EAST AFRICA The director particularly is to blame. No electricity, no internet, no hot water and not able to give a proper solution or to offer a solution. So whether you stay in their premium hotel (in town) or the university branch (further) a bit further, please avoid this hotel. No ethic, responsibility and service. Worst than that he is exposing his staff, making them personally pay for transport between their 2 locations to try to solve the problem (The manager and receptionist tried to do their best in vain). It is overpriced and not really in the city. Not much effort is done to provide a great experience in this location... But seriously, the director is just killing this business, being an old greedy man, not providing solutions after I asked for 7 hours how do we do for the internet and electricity access.

I have been to Jojo's Palace around 5 times over as many years and will come again. There is lots to recommend. Beds are comfortable, showers work, breakfast is fine with omelette on the menu, the bar serves well chilled well priced drinks, food is served throughout the day and can be brought to your room for no extra cost, the wifi is excellent, the fan in the room works well, there is football shown on match days, it is centrally located and the staff are friendly and honest. All this for 30,000ugx a night. So what are the downsides?. It can be noisy at night - say 4 times in the last fortnight. It is clean enough but is not as obsessionally spotless as previously. Overall, this is a great place to stay for those who want value.

Am staying here at the hotel for a visit to friends working here in Adjumani. I am enjoying the air-conditioned rooms and the fact that the mosquitos are not at all like they are in many other places. Staff are friendly and the food at the restaurant has so far been very good. Room is clean, quaint, but serves the purpose. The area is walkable and near to banks, pharmacies, medical clinics, and even the police station. It feels safe and secure. Would recommend to anyone traveling to Adjumani.

Benefits of staying here is the rather low price, good location and sometimes decent wi-fi. However, can be quite loud during nights since busy outside, cars often re-organised in the yard inside the hotel and the wifi gets on and off quite a bit. Also, not air condition in all rooms, some rooms have been renovated but others not. Found cockroaches in bathroom almost every stay and the restaurant had poor breakfast. Very few dishes actually available from the menu and long waiting time before food served. Would not recommend this place, there are several better places to stay when in Gulu.

I don't know where to start lol The first night I was there I got mysterious phonecalls from a strange woman saying she "wants my friendship" but she wouldn't tell me her name, after he 3rd freaky call I just turned my phone off. The next day a housekeeper who I had never spoken to before told me it was her and she took my number from the guestbook. The second morning they knocked on my door 6 times in 1 despite the fact I told them 6 times I was trying to sleep , eventually I got up and got angry. (That actually happened on 2 mornings). They have a fridge but it's off more than its on, they unplug for hours every afternoon to iron sheets despite the fact there's many other sockets. I could honestly write a book about all the bizarre things in that guesthouse. They don't understand how to calculate nights , for example I paid up front for 7 nights which means I'm paid up until the 8th morning .... That doesn't compute with any of the staff. They have water for guests at 2k a bottle. I settled my water bill on Dec 31st .... I was leaving on the 3rd, I thought I drank between 3-5 waters on the 1st and 2nd .... The director demanded I pay for 15 lol I also had to pay for 2 nights because they don't know how to calculate nights.
