The fragrant air of Morocco seems spiked with local spices. Cradled by the dunes of the Sahara, the Kingdom has been inhabited for hundreds of thousands of years. And from the bustling Medina of Marrakech to the mosaic of leather tanning vessels in Fes, Moroccan culture is still steeped in rich tradition. The collection of blue-bottomed boats in Essaouira has become a monochromatic hallmark of the city, while the cafés of Casablanca will invoke your inner Bogie or Bergman.

We pride ourselves on being the premier lodging property in the village of Taghazout, Morocco. Our guesthouse is a mix between a traditional BnB and an art hotel. None of our rooms (15) or spaces are alike. The central theme at Munga is salvaged wood and recycled materials. With multiple terraces and some of the best vistas in town, Munga is the perfect getaway experience to enjoy surf and sunny days.
We stopped at Munga Guesthouse bar for a beer – the experience was great, it was calm and cosy. One of the places where you can buy alcohol in Taghazout. There were lots of cats, which was a bonus for us. :) Would like to stay at Munga Guesthouse as a guest some day!

The place has a great location , maybe 2 minutes to the Kasbah. I had a garden facing room and heard no noise at night. Nice staff and helped with directions, money exchange, baggage, etc. Breakfast was huge but a lot of bakery item. Over hung the table with plates. Fried egg was good but the butter, jelly, olive oil, Goat cheese, olives, etc were to die for. Excellent.

Nice sweet rooms, with good accomodation, nice landscapes from your room. Also good cooking, you will feel like at home !
We visited Maison D'hotes La Vallee Des Figues for lunch, which was the best vegetarian tajine we had during our travels in Morocco, and for a guided tour in a nearby canyon and mountain. What we thought would be a one hour walk turned out to be a whole afternoon, climbing and walking through the most beautiful landscape we had ever seen! We came back in the early evening, while the sun was setting, feeling so happy and touched by the nature there. We even had a short break for tea with a nomad family before walking back down to the valley. This was the best part of our journey, and we are so grateful to Bob, our guide for showing us his world - absolutely unforgettable!

This was our first visit to a Riad, so we did not have any particular expectations. We were most impressed. The Riad itself is very attractive, well maintained and pleasant to be in. It has 9 rooms with ample open areas. Just as important, the level of service offered by the proprietor and his staff was of a very high standard. We ate there on two nights with other guests, and were very impressed by the meals - they compared very favourably (ie were better!!!) than a much more expensive (and highly rated) restaurant dinner we had on another night. Staying in a Riad (at least as we experienced it) is much less impersonal than staying in a hotel, and that may not necessarily be to everyone's taste. We were fortunate in finding new friends which undoubtedly added to our experience, but it would be perfectly possible to not engage with others if you chose. The Riad is quite close to Jemma el Fna (perhaps 5 minutes or so away), but off in a side area which is very quiet. We strongly recommend this Riad to anyone who might wish to visit Marrakech.

I couldn't have asked for more. Incredibly clean and welcoming hostel. Great hosts, that were really helpful for arranging extra activities like surf & yoga. The rooftop and terrace have a wonderful view and everything is closeby and in reach. Breakfast is delicious and the service really wonderful. The rooms are modern and comfortable. I would definitely come back and recommend it!

Imlil Authentic Toubkal Lodge is a traditional Berber house situated in the heart of the village Arghen, perched above Imlil. The Lodge has 4 rooms decorated in the style of the region ( 2 Ensuite rooms with private shower & toilet and other two has shared bathrooms) . The time I had in Imlil was my favorite part of my trip to morocco - thanks to Lahcen and his family, who were amazing hosts. Always had amazing meals, more than I could ever eat. The view from the terrace is outstanding. Lahcen managed to arrange the Toubkal trek for me spontaneously on the day before - that was an incredible experience. Thanks for everything! Choukran bezaf!

Great little Riad in the midst of the markets. Nice location right in markets and near many attractions. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was nicely setup and comfortable. A great little oasis in a sea of chaos. Don’t let the little door fool you as to what lies behind.

Hosts' AftasTrip houseAftasTrip is a hotel with a school of Surfing situated to Mirleft in the province of Tiznit in the South from Agadir to Morocco on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean. Situated between sea and mountain, Aftas Trip is a haven of peace for big and small. In this place, the Atlantic Coast is endowed with beaches(ranges) haughtiness allowing to discover the passion of the Surfing by sliding on simple and small waves or to burst on more impressive waves in the peak.
Small cabin -like rooms reminded me of 1960's holiday camps.Stayed one night as part of small group tour from UK. On the coast so chilly wind from Atlantic meant rooms and bathrooms cold when no sun on them, but there are spare blankets. Pool quite small and open to the sea breezes,so a little chilly..Pool is visible from the road. Not a lot to do as all alone along the coast road. Food adequate. Mattress good and firm.
