I have just spent 2 days at Lilayi Lodge and can highly recommend it. It is set in a private park with several antelopes, giraffes, zebras, etc. roaming freely in the park. The lodge is surrounded by trees in a very relaxing environment with a swimming pool. The staff are friendly, professional and helpful and the food was very good. Accommodation is very comfortable with a small heater for cold nights.

You arrive by boat, over the Zambezi river at this gem by the river. We had 4 amazing days at this lodge. The 'rooms' are XL-suite size, with a small private pool. The staff is extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable on flora and fauna. Nothing is too much to ask and every day we were treated with a wonderful surprise that made our stay even more memorable. We think back on every staff member and every minute of our stay with joy and gratefulness. It was with pain we had to leave, however it was more than the perfect ending to a wonderful holiday in Zambia. Thank you!

The stay was comfortable, they have lovely cosy rooms built like huts with thatched roofs. The staff are super friendly, the male receptionists has so much energy he makes you feel very welcome. It has a pool as well which makes your stay even more worth while. Negative parts are; 1. that the internet is weak unless you sit by the bar which I learnt very late in my stay. 2. Opening the slide doors can be a bit of challenge because of the overlapping metal frame 3. For a vegan like me there isn’t much choice apart from tomatoes, beans and mushrooms 4. The spirits are very pricey although if you opt for lagers those are cheap. Otherwise all in all I would definitely recommend a stay here

Ideal location on the outskirts of the madness of Lusaka traffic. Were met at reception by very friendly staff. The lodge was spacious and clean. Great food. Great looking swimming pool, which we never experienced as we arrived late. The Chef prepared an excellent take away breakfast for us as we were leaving early in the morning.

The guides, staff and managers were some of the warmest and most welcoming people I have had the pleasure of meeting and the lodge and rooms were just stunning! Thank you so much to everyone at Zambezi Grande for making our visit to the Lower Zambezi truly unforgettable! I hope to visit you all again soon!

Nice clean self-contained rooms, very comfortable beds, restaurant with local food fresh from the farm, pool.
This lodge is in a nice and quiet part of Lusaka, about half an hour by car from airport and a 20 minutes walk from the nearest shopping mall. The area is nice and quiet, the lodge is very friendly and welcoming with a nice pool, free wifi, very comfortable beds and tasty Zambian food with fruits and vegetables from their own farm. Nice value for money for this kind of accommodation in Zambia.

We stayed in this hotel on a layover and were sorely disappointed. The indicator for us was that there was one worn and basically ragged towel in the room. The saving grace was a comfortable bed. We arrived late and asked if we could extend our check out. We had to pay for an extra 1/2 day to stay for 2 more hours. This is an old tired hotel not recommended.

We stayed at Palmwood Lodge at the beginning hand end of our trip to Zambia. We picked from a handful on the internet and couldn’t believe our luck. Palmwood is wonderful. The rooms are great - clean and comfy. The welcome warm and friendly. They food delicious and the location perfect. We were so looked after. It was hard to leave. Hopefully we will be back

This is a wonderful place, we stayed in a lodge directly situated on the water. We could see the Zambezi from our bed, Elephants were even in and around the camp. The sunset is from the camp and even more from the boat really amazing. The Food concept was unusual for us, we brought our own Food and the cook prepaired it delicously for us (3 times a day!). So self Catering means the work is limited. The People who work there are very friendly and helpful. We did a self drive Safari in the lower Zambezi national park with the rented 4x4 and had a guide from the lodge with us and for me this was much more fun than being driven around. The 4x4 experience was at least so exciting as watching the animals. Compared to the camps around the Price is very reasonable. In the park we saw Leopard, elephant, hippo, crocodile....
