Perched on Alverstone Hill, with panoramic views of the Assagay Valley, is an African style lodge set in log and stone offering serenity, relaxation and warm hospitality. We look forward to welcoming you and catering to your every need.
From the minute we entered the gate, we were surrounded by natural beauty ,lush, green and beautiful. The log cabins blended seamlessly into its environment, surrounded by oak trees and hiding inside was pure luxury. Four poster bed, luxurious huge bathroom and superior finishes. Bathroom leads into a private outside shower. Supper and breakfast was tasty and well presented on a private patio outside the room. Host Charmaine went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. I don’t often write reviews but I felt this hidden gem deserves it ?

Not only are the owners so caring and helpful, the staff are exactly the same. I have travelled all over the world and have never quite received this kind of service, where nothing is a hassle for them, even concerning non guest house related issues. Will never stay at another BB in Durban again.

Rooms comfortably and large with all the necessary amunities. Relaxing pool at lodge with friendly helpful staff. Food great and well prepared. Parking on premises but entry somewhat tricky and narrow. Close enough to Durban and Umhlanga to do business and quite enough to relax in the afternoon and evenings.
