The DR delights visitors with its mix of white-sand beaches and "gingerbread" Victorian architecture. Nine hundred miles of Caribbean coastline make the Hispaniola Island country a beach-lover’s paradise. Day-trip to Puerto Plata and ride the cable car up Mount Isabel de Torres, or groove to the steel drum beats of Cabarete nightlife. The breezy palms and sparkling waters of Punta Cana make it a true tropical paradise.

Tubagua Plantation Eco Lodge is a rustic mountain chateau with amazing ocean views, a family-run estate operated B&B-style only 20 minutes from Puerto Plata airport, city and beaches. There is nothing else like it on the Dominican Republic's north coast. If you love nature, fresh air, fabulous views, a cozy bed and great food, you'll LOVE The Tubagua Plantation. See you in Tubagua!
My family is originally from Dominican Republic and I wanted to stay away from the tourist-y area (especially during COVID). My boyfriend and I are really into nature and tranquility so this place was the best for distance from major tourist areas but close to activities (or at least offered some). Tubagua Ecolodge worked with us during the airport pick up, accommodated the meals we missed (because we were out) and reserved horse back riding with taxi service! The ecolodge offers a hike to a private natural pool where the hike was breath taking and the guide was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. All of the staff was extremely nice and the food was authentic and delicious every single time. I liked that there was no menu, all visitors were served more or less the same delicious food but every meal everyday is different (and healthy!) The purpose of this ecolodge is to be close to nature and relax, I loved every second of it.

We are an eco-hotel located at the foot of the Loma de Blanco, in Bonao, Monsenor Nouel, Dominican Republic. We are surrounded by beautiful Gardens between the buildings. We have Two Restaurant, Jabali is the one were you can taste our dominican fusion foodstyle whith our famous "Mofongo de Jabali", la Pesca on the other side has two lagoons in which you can go fishing and eat your own fish.
Nice rooms, very comfortable premium room but the bed sheets were not clean, smells bad and there was hair in it. At the restaurant the food was aceptable and to expensive for a place like that. The employees are really nice, decent, respectful and efficient. There are beautiful gardens and green area with bird that make you feel very close to nature.

Studios and mini-apartments for rent, fully furnished, with a equipped kitchenette, bathroom with large shower, bidet and hair dryer. TV cable/sat, internet WiFi, fan, air conditioning**, mosquito nets, cold and hot purified water, security, free parking, tropical garden with Jacuzzi, sun beds, shower and barbecue. Family atmosphere quite and distinguished. Inside of a closed residence in a very quiet and relaxing area full of vegetation, about 800 meters to the one of the most beautiful beaches of the area (bonita beach) and a few minutes away from the animated and chaotic center of Las Terrenas, full of shops, restaurants and nightclubs. **Air conditioning with extra charge 10 usd per day.
Nice small apt type rooms a/c is $10 extra a day. Locked behind huge steel gates for safety. Its a long walk to the beach from there. Quiet area away from the noise and traffic. The owner was a nice guy.

You get what you pay for, as the The saying goes. Wifi is shut down at about 11pm when they close the lobby and a security guard watches the property. I received raw pancakes with moldy syrup container. The room had some kind of feathers under the beds and the bed linen had like grains of something weird- definetely dis not want to lay there or sleep. I know they are renovation but renovation from hospitality perspective are to be done inside out...not a new pool but rooms and bathroom and ac and fan are full of rust.

The staff of our hotel is only interested in making your vacation a beautiful memory ... No wonder you come if you want to say and get out if you can ... Welcome To HOTEL DON MICHELE
The main feeling is about the lack of cleanness .. there is always a very unpleasant smell of dog in the atmosphere ! ...Lobby in very poor condition ? Some beach armchairs completely destroyed ??? all that does not contribute to a smart and confident feeling !

Planned a trip with this wonderful establishment and they was nothing more but accommodating. The trip was almost cancelled but once I spoke w them they worked with us to make sure that we would still come and have a great time. We arrived and had the best time ever. The guys on the property were awesome and took care of us and was very friendly. We go there twice a year but from here on out we will be staying with them every time we do go. They took care of us in more ways than one. I definitely recommend this venue for anyone who is traveling to Sosua wether big or small parties they have it all and the view is simply amazing. Thank you for everything. We will return very soon.
