Home to Bali International Airport, Denpasar is usually overlooked by visitors flocking to Bali’s beaches. For those who stick around, this culture-rich city serves up ornate temples and some of the island's most authentic Balinese food.

Looking for an alternative to a horrible hotel we were staying at, we stumbled across this beautiful little homestay in central Sanur. Made was very welcoming & showed us around. We quickly snapped up her last available room for our last 2 nights in Bali. We immediately felt comfortable & “at home”. The room is large with high ceilings, AC works well. Bed is pretty comfortable & we slept well. Lovely little breakfast of fruit, tea/coffee, eggs, rice or pancakes. The pool temperature was amazingly refreshing & cool in Bali’s humidity & heat. Nice balcony. Booked again for our next trip ?

Unfortunately I only stayed four days in this beautiful environment. These types of hotels really make you feel like you're in an oasis of peace.Lots of birds and green surroundings are a big plus. Our room was spacious with everything we needed( fridge, tv, ac..).Breakfast is enough to start your day, and plus you get a big pot of coffee or tea (great -if you are a coffee lover like me). There is a small sweet pool with really clean water(at least during our stay).I would really recommend everyone to stay here!

While this is a lovely little villa, in early Nov 2019 there was construction going on next door and it was a bit noisy (8am-5pm).This might not bother some, or you could ask for one of the central rooms. I decided to move, and the owner promptly gave me a full refund, which I appreciated.

Friendly staff, helpful with organising trips and onward travel. Decent location, with access to the beach (100m walk). The room was clean and secure, with a safe. It was basic but adequate for our needs. We had our two small kids in with us, so it was cosy but for a single or a couple it would feel more spacious. Bed was less than perfect but it was fine for our 4 days and, in short, you get what you pay for, so didn't expect palatial surroundings. The room did what it needed and they were fine with families. It was noisy on the Friday night but this is Sanur so to be expected. For most people (i.e. those without small kids), this would be no issue.

Had a short stay here with my partner. The family that greated us and made us breakfast were so lovely. They played Balinese instruments for us during breakfast which was so beautiful. Rooms were very clean and shower and aircon working great. It was a little difficult to find down a tiny allyway that cars wont fit through. But therefore a guiet oasis away from the main road.

Location is good. Sanur beach isn’t so far away and in the evening the Sanur Night Market is very close and you can enjoy cheap food and local atmosphere. Room was clean, it has a fridge and you can tolarate the bathroom. Owners are friendly and very helpful. They also arranged a Tropical Triangle -trip to us very cheaply. I would recommend this place if you want experience some local life and simple is what you are looking for! We loved it!

Very good location, just 10/15 mins walk from the sea and at an affordable price in Sanur, where everything is extremely overpriced. The place is neat and clean and the owner is a funny and chatty old man, who spends his life in the place trying to be helpful with everybody. Internet was quite good, no breakfast, but daily cleaning if requested.

Kadek and Roy are brilliant hosts and the one bedroom cottage is brilliant. We have stayed twice, the first time for two weeks. In June. We have just returned after three weeks and can't wait to return. The cottage has a huge bedroom upstairs, with full bathroom. Downstairs has a kitchen, lounge, bathroom and patio. There is a large swimming pool which is shared with the two bedroom villa and is fantastic. The location is fantastic, just a short walk to a choice of restaurants and shopping. Transport can be arranged.
