Colorado is home to no less than twenty-six ski resorts such as those in Vail and Breckenridge; other winter activities include snowboarding, sledding, sleigh rides, snow hiking and snowmobiling. The state is blessed with national parks, grasslands and forests where in warmer weather you can enjoy hiking, mountain biking or rock climbing. Wildlife abounds, from bears to moose and raccoons to wolverines. More interested in local history? Head for either the Ute Indian Museum or the Koshare Indian Museum, and don't miss the forts such as Fort Garland and Bent's Old Fort. For a complete change, why not take a ride in a hot air balloon from South Park Valley or Boulder and admire Colorado's picturesque landscape from above?

The lodge is ideally located in the heart of Estes Park on the north side of Prospect Mountain and only minutes from Rocky Mountain National Park. Breathtaking mountain views surround you making this the prefect location for your mountain wedding. The landscape of Rocky Mountain National Park is the steepest in the United States. Sixty mountain peaks over 12,000 feet high result in world-renown scenery and provide challenges for hikers and climbers. The extreme topography creates an amazing range of ecological zones within a short distance, similar to the changes that would be seen in a drive from Denver to northern Alaska.
Of course I recommend Crags but it's more than an excellent place to stay. They add at lot of extras you won't get at other places. It's the atmosphere they delivery with friendliness that conveys that feeling of home away from home. It sounds a little corny but I always end my stay here feeling comfortable and relax due to the friendliness that's not artificial.

Offering fifteen updated rooms creatively designed to reflect the activities in and around the historic town of Lake City. King, queen and twin beds, some kitchenettes fully equipped, flat screen tv's, free WiFi. Great deck to relax and enjoy river and mountain views with fire tables and deck heaters. Room themes such as Black Bear, Aspen, Ute Trail, Gold Mine, Cowhands, Anglers, Fourteeners, Columbine, Antlers, etc.
It was a pleasant surprise to find this beautifully remodeled room which was clean and spacious. The view from the back deck was awesome and very relaxing. We had two dinners on the deck. One of the owners was very accommodating and enjoyable to talk too. She wanted our stay to be a good one. We had everything we needed for our stay. We would go again.

A great place to come relax and hang out. We offer clean cozy rooms, outdoor hot tubs, firepits, card tables, and a friendly helpful staff. 17.6 miles from the ski resort makes this a prime place to stay for a day of skiing or boarding. If you don't ski, there are plenty of other outdoor activies. Hiking, ATVing, snowmobiling, or exploring the beauty of the San Juan Valley and Mountains. There are 4 different room styles to choose from to meet everyones needs. From a kitchenette with all the needed kitchen amenities of home to a standrd lodge room with microwaves and refrigerators. We are a self service resort community, but are always here to give a smile and answer your questions.
Stayed here recently. The rates were very reasonable. The room was quite cozy with nice bedding. My car wouldn’t start in the morning and all the employees were super helpful. Billy even gave me a ride down to the Rainbow to get a new battery!

We are a family-owned, vintage hotel with a western theme. The Buff is your base camp for adventure and a great place to relax after a long day hiking, biking and exploring the sites of the Pikes Peak region. Located on a popular designated bike route connecting Colorado Springs and Manitou Springs, we are in close proximity to countless miles of biking and hiking trails at the base of Pikes Peak, and are less than a mile from the majestic Garden of the Gods Park, voted the #1 Park in the U.S. and #2 in the world on Trip Advisor. Our rooms currently are nothing fancy. We purchased the property in June 2016 and are working to renovate. Our first suite renovation to a bicycle-themed, bicycle-friendly, group suite that sleeps 5 - 11 people with a kitchen, family room and private yard is now complete and available to rent. Other rooms sleep from 1 - 6 people and range from $75 for a single Queen to $145 for group suites with kitchens and $159 for our king hot tub suites.
tl;dr: I would try stay here again the next time I'm visiting the area The BLBR has a funky vibe to it and its bicycle-friendliness drew me to it even though this trip was not, sadly, bike travel-related. Staff are friendly, helpful, and patient with the different ways the waffle iron can be unintentionally misused. The vintage rooms are a work in progress. Mine had a two-person bike rack in it (first time I'd ever seen that), two beds, a table between the window & bed, and enough outlets that I could keep my armada of electronics charged. Inside was a bit underlighted from what I'd prefer, but it's manageable. On the plus side, when I had the curtain shut, it was dark enough to sleep. The BLBR is very close to the Garden of the Gods, which is a must-see in the area. El Paso Blvd is under construction - and a mess - so Google's auto-routing was unhelpful. There are a handful of restaurants within walking distance. The segment of El Paso blvd doesn't have a sidewalk nor is well-lit for the evening, but there was not a lot of traffic.

Came up from Denver for a couple nights to celebrate our anniversary and stayed here. A quaint, rustic lodge only a few steps from the main strip in Grand Lake. The family running the place is super friendly... Their service is what puts this squarely into "five stars" territory for me. Highly recommended.

$200 a night for what would be a mid to lower end motel room anywhere else lowered my enthusiasm for the place considerably. Having a (teeny tiny) room for each bed was nice and there were plenty of towels. The beds weren't comfortable, though, the TV remote didn't work, and there was no coffee maker, though I heard later that coffee was available in the office. We didn't care that maid service wasn't available, but some folks might like to have beds made and towels replenished while on vacation in a $200 room.

Our lodge rooms are cozy, comfortable and the perfect place to relax before setting out on your next adventure. We offer cabin rentals and RV parking Also. Near the Rio Grande River for fishing and Near skiing and snowboarding at Wolf Creek Ski Area.
We stayed in the motel section and cannot comment on the RV area. The room was very spacious and had refrig, microwave and coffee maker. The only shortfall was the scarcity of electrical outlets. Bring an extension cord with multiple outlets if you plan to recharge many batteries.

Situated on 45 private acres between Estes Park and Boulder, Stone Mountain Lodge and Cabins is ideal for relaxing vacations, family reunions, unique outdoor Colorado weddings and romantic cabin getaways. There is a pond with ducks and beautiful fountain, towering red cliffs and a private hiking trail. Six unique cabin units and affordable lodge rooms are inviting with individual country charm. Air conditioning, cable TV, free Denver metro phone and free wifi. Open all year.
We pull in at 4:09pm, check in is at 4pm, a guy was leaving and yelled out his window, you checking in the keys are in the box....okay. he drives off. We get to our room, it's dark, cold and unsettling. As we bring in our stuff we start noticing the dead bugs on the floor, flies and spiders and moths. Ewww. So I grab some tissue and get it cleaned up. We notice a stain on the bedspread, gross. We ended up staying but do not recommend this place unless you like little spiders creeping around up the walls and moths coming in from who knows where. OH and you only have wifi if you have a hotspot! So hope you like to be unconnected during your visit!

Welcome to the new Alpine Moose Lodge!! We are the new owners, and have been working over the last two years to make major improvements to the rooms and property. You will find our rooms to be some of the largest, with vaulted ceilings, wood floors, comfy beds, and all the amenities of home. Each room comes with a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker (fresh ground gourmet coffee included). We've also opened up the property to our lodge guests, with a firepit and seating area on one end, and a social parlor with pool table, dart boards, and patio on the other end. We invite you to stay here at the Alpine Moose and enjoy the Lake City experience with us.
We arrived later at night on a Friday, near closing of the restaurant and the lady and her daughter were working. They were so friendly. We checked in and she asked if we were hungry. Not expecting to have anything we said yes. We then had one of the best pizzas ever. The pizza is amazing! The people are extremely friendly and have outstanding customer service. The rooms are about what you’d expect in an old little mountain town. No A/C or heat but they have a cute little kitchenette. The rooms are clean and they have fresh ground coffee. They are not “nice” and the outlets are worn out but they have charm to them. It’s far from five star rooms but the customer service and the pizza are so good you’ll forget about everything else. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone coming to Lake City.
