Can Tho is the main city of the Mekong Delta, the "nine dragon river delta" where the Mekong River empties into the South China Sea. It's also the main transportation center for the region. The extensive canals make for a pleasant boat ride, and the nearby floating markets offer authentic goods and exotic local fruit. *Fly into Ho Chi Minh City International Airport where you can take a car or van (approximately 4 hours) to Can Tho.

Feel at home and as part of the family with options to join in the evening meal, eat the never ending plates of fruit, drink the never empty pots of tea or even learn how to cook Vietnamese style!
Ms Ha has a loving hospitality. She knows her city inside out and can recommend really good local places to catch a nice meal. The bike ride in the countryside along a narrow river is defiantly worth the trip. Our entry stay at her place made our experience in Can Tho really nice! Don’t miss out on her amazing homemade mango smoothies!

Getting away from everyday life and be pampered by charming bungalows in a hidden village just as its name– Green Village Mekong. The property is located just 70 meters away from a gentle local river that allows you to take a boat tour easily. Moreover, behind the property, there is another hidden canal where your families can take our free rowing boats to explore by yourselves.
Nestled in the middle of a sleepy town is the Green Village, run by the loveliest and most hospitable host called Thy. She arranged for us to head out to a floating market for breakfast on a boat with a well-spoken guide named Tony, who gave us a lot of cultural insight on the area. Meals in the homestay are super wholesome, healthy and delicious. Thy provided us bicycles for free and we did a wonderful 15km ride, getting lost along the canals and exploring the area. Rooms are not air-conditioned but it's all part of the experience, bring mosquito repellent and you'll be fine. It was a beautiful stay!

We booked this accomodation but because of lunar new year we got upgraded to other Homestay from the same owners near by. Staff work in both places and they are the most helpful and friendly people ever! Also the trips they offer are really interesting! The surrounding nature is wonderful and I slept very good listening to jungle noices. Food is really good as well. Definitely great value for the money!

On the tranquil banks of the Ba Lang River stands Can Tho Ecolodge - a proud union of local culture and environment. Can Tho Ecolodge, the luxury Eco-accommodation shares an equally strong devotion to its guests and its location; we want to share the beauty of the Mekong Delta with our visitors and do so in a truly responsible way.
Service was not good, unprofessional staffs. I feel disappointed cause of recommending Eco lodge Can Tho to my friends. (They ask me to vote 1* but anw i do appreciate your job so hope you guys can wake up by this 2*). So sorry that Ecolodge can do everything better w this pretty nice view. Thks a lots.

We stayed for 3 days. It is a true homestay. The owners make you feel so welcome and they are incredibly polite and generous. They prepare tea and coffee and will collect a coconut if you want to try. We stayed in the family room and found it to be perfect for our needs. They employ two young guys who speak good English and who can take you on a tour and so on. We spent some time with Peace and it was very interesting to get some understanding of what Vietnamese life is like for young people. The location is great. 10 mins to the city with grab and taxi easily available. Great coffee shop 20 meters on the right and excellent resturant 20 meters on the left of you feel like staying in.

It started by us getting dropped off at wrong place. Came in on a bus, then they shuttle you to hotels. Well driver did a few stops then dropped us off with other people. Took our bags out and said HERE and took off. It wasnt our hotel. Had to get the hotel to call us a taxi to take us to our actual homestay. So we arrive at winter spring, the whole street was closed up including our hotel. we thought oh no we have no hotel. We had no idea that so much would be closed with Lunar new year..........found someone at homestay. she showed us the door and code to get in. Nice big rooms, laundry you can do on top floor where the kitchen is. Had little excitement one night, a bat flew into kitchen and couldnt get out. We used the bikes to scope out places to eat as there wasnt much open. We had breakfast included when we booked but they didnt supply us with it because no staff due to lunar new year. Didnt realize how hard it was to find food!! When we rode around on the bikes, we were getting laughed and pointed at. Even got my husband off bike and took a picture. Kids waving and saying HI. I guess they hadnt seen many white people around this area. Whities are down by waterfront tourist area where we got dropped off. Bought the floating market tour with them. That was good. Also they arranged out transportation for next destination. I would recommend this place to stay.

We arrived and were shown to a concrete bunker "family room" which was very different from the photos on the site when we had booked. In fact we realised that the "family room" had been demolished, with only the flooring still there as evidence. After negotiating, we were shown to two huts which we were told initially were booked out but we were the only people staying in the whole complex! They were new and clean, but windows didn't seal and we had spiders, lizards and mosquitoes in the rooms. The beds were comfy and the air con and wi-fi worked well. The waterway on the photos is not a river but a pond. It is very isolated and apart from a typical Vietnamese street market a short walk away on a dusty road, there is not the scenery we'd anticipated. Not much English spoken. When the Typhoon was approaching (Christmas Day 2017), they gave us 2 candles and some matches for "big storm", offered us food midafternoon and then the staff left the complex. As we realised the Typhoon was heading straight for us, the rain was heavy, the water was rising and we finally found someone to help who arranged a hotel in Can Tho city (at no extra cost). We gratefully accepted this offer as it seemed it would be dangerous to stay in a typhoon, especially with no-one else about! It certainly wasn't a homestay, looked more like a half set up school adventure camp. Wasn't at all keen on the caged monkeys kept in terrible conditions with loads of rubbish in their little cage, either.

Set in Can Tho, Lotus Village offers a restaurant and free WiFi, 2.3 km from Cai Rang Floating Market. A balcony with lake views is offered in every unit. Lotus Village “resort” highlight is 7 bamboo bungalows - Bamboo huts hanged from the tree. Bamboo bungalows with natural micro-climate atmosphere. Each bungalow is unique. Hammocks are hanged on restaurant verandas, facing the fishing pond.
This is a very rustic place but beauty is every where around you. It makes you explore Mekong Delta in an immersive experience. Firelfies, lizards, lotus, all kinds of flowers. Food is very average with american options.. But definitely not for people looking for luxury.

We stayed here for a few days meeting with friends and resting. This was a clean hotel but we never had staff in our room to clean, take out trash, make beds etc. the whole five days we stayed there. The Air Con worked great. The beds were sturdy (firm) and our room had a min fridge that was a added bonus. It is a good bit out of the city center but a taxi there is only about 40-45,000 VND. They spoke little to no English.
