Baguio, perched high in the Cordillera Central Mountains, is a great place to escape the heat of the Philippine lowlands. Camp John Hay, originally built as a recreation area for U.S. soldiers, now is a full-fledged resort complete with a world-class golf course. Definitely stop at the city market, where you can buy almost anything (just be prepared to haggle).

A simple, country and cordilleran accentuated fine place for a family dinner, Love the lemon chicken serving, if i have to describe it “sarap to the bones”. Also, a live music cafe area is located for you to chill after...

Come to the El Cielito Hotel Baguio - a hotel that the city is proud to call one of its own. Considered as the Philippines' summer capital, Baguio is bathed in refreshing mountain breeze and has been claimed on numerous occasions as the cleanest city in the country. It boasts of breathtaking hilltop panoramas dotted with pine trees and coated with the region's naturally majestic flora. These enchanting views, together with popular attractions and subtle entertainment spots, are literally footsteps away from the El Cielito Hotel Baguio.
Neither Agoda nor the hotel informed us of the requirements for travel to Baguio. As a result, we were stuck at a checkpoint for 1 ½ hour trying to hastily arrange the needed paperwork. This time sucking inconvenience and hassle would have been avoided had the hotel let us know before travel that we needed to visit a website and upload copies of licenses etc. (there had been various personal emails between us). The Covid requirements were very proforma, all easily provided and accomplished but not when you are stuck on a mountain road at a checkpoint with barely an internet signal. I was furious. This was a screw-up. When I arrived at the hotel. The manager came to speak to me. She took responsibility. We worked out a reasonable settlement. She did her job in spades. I was so impressed. And I let her know. So, yes – stay in this hotel. The staff care, make adjustments and take responsibility when they screw up. The room was fine. TV worked very well – had premium channels and good reception. This hotel is run by someone who cares about their service and their customers. It shows.

The second property of Guest Haven Baguio is located in an off the beaten location in Interior A Balacbac, Sto. Tomas, Baguio City. A residential home turned to become a HOMESTAY polished with aesthetic country living, the property opens its doors to guests looking for the authentic Filipino hospitality and respite from the urban life.
highly recommended!!! 2 thumbs up..kahit di nako lumabas ng room or nung place masaya nako, i get plenty of inspiration to type on compliances for work or speech or poetry..it's so instagrammable! (this comes from a person who doesn't do instagram ?)..the host and staff are accomodating, courteous and attentive..the place is clean and cozy. They also have a cafe.Breakfast is great with beautiful table setting. I stayed at Aleph room which is spacious and with own shower & toilet like Beth room, plus plenty of cabinets to place your things/belongings.

My family and I were going on a road trip to Vigan this Holy Week. We left Manila after lunch so we got caught up in the midst of the heavy traffic so we ended up on the road pretty late as well. On a whim, we decided to spend the night in Baguio to let my Dad rest and so my sister, who has never been there, could see it the next day even for a little bit. However, as it was Holy Week, it was pretty much impossible to find a place to stay on short notice. Luckily, we passed by Tacay Lodge and decided to check if they had available rooms, which they thankfully did. We didn't expect much from the hotel as it was marketed as a Drive-Inn hotel. Pleasantly though, we were surprised with the value we were getting for only P1400 per night for a room with 2 beds for 4 people. The room was clean, had a tv, and comfortably housed my family of 4 for the night. The food was also super worth it! They served food until midnight so we decided to get their buttered fried chicken which the front desk recommended and it did not disappoint, especially for only P360 for the whole chicken. The room price also included breakfast the next day which again was pretty good already for the price of the room. The location of Tacay Lodge was also pretty convenient for what it was. It didn't take us long before we reached the center of Baguio the next day, about 15 mins. The hotel also had safe parking which was appreciated. Overall, Tacay Lodge was great value for money. We didn't expect to get the good service, clean and quality rooms with complete toiletries, and great food.

Comfort and relaxation is the theme of this Authentic Baguio Home. Experience what its like to live in a Baguio Home strategically located in the middle of the city!
We stayed here for a few nights at their spacious family room. It’s basically an old vacation home turned into rental space. Our room has four comfortable double beds and a work table in the middle. The toilet is huge, has basic toiletries, and hot shower. For it’s price, it’s reasonably comfortable. I just find that the ground floor has an old house stale smell. Other than that, it’s recommendable.

#GRIFFINLODGE IS the worst and most EVIL place in Baguio. Scammer!!! The front desk SARAH MARAVILLAS has perfected her evil role of playing dumb with her annoying standard reply of "DI KO PO ALAM" They post their property in Hotels.com and yet they will not honor your paid and confirmed booking. The modus operandi is #GriffinLodgeBaguio will accept your payment thru Hotels.com / Expedia and then will bump you off as they are not aware of your booking and that they are fully booked and that they gave your confirmed and paid room to another guest! Worse is it is not a product of sheer miscommunication between the online partner and Griffin BUT AN ORCHESTRATED SCAMMING ACTIVITY THRU THE YEARS. WHAT #GRIFFINLODGE does is it will post the property in Hotels.com / Expedia for P3,352 (Nov 30 - Dec 1, 2019) inclusive of taxes, then will dishonor your confirmed and paid booking upon your arrival in this evil place. After hours of stressful negotiation, it's either the frustrated and exhausted guest (1) leaves the place without getting any apologies, compensation or refund from Griffin Lodge; or (2) continuously, patiently and religiously bombard the front desk Sarah Maravillas with guilt poking profanities, counter evilness rebuttals, etc. On Nov 30, 2019 alone, 10 out of 11 paid bookings made thru online sites like Hotels.com and Expedia opted to choose course of action 1 . I was the sole guest who pursued the 2nd course of action from 5pm to 8pm with the other bumped off guests ahead of me (1st to 9th) and the other one after me (the 11th guest) as witnesses. Since Sarah Maravillas and the owner (whom Sarah was in constant communication with thru text messaging) could no longer stand to see my face and hear my arguments any longer, I WON AND EVIL GRIFFIN LODGE CONCEDED and decided to find me an alternative place to stay in, but insisted again that I should pay the cost. I said NO! So they shouldered the cost, which is already their last resort in their evil pre-meditated and orchestrated scam. They booked me at a cheaper transient house which will charge Griffin a measly P500/head/night vs Hotels.com rate of P3,352. Easily, Griffin earned P2,852 from this EVIL act. TAKE NOTE that they will not: (1) Feel sorry for bumping you off and (2) even has the nerve to say that IT'S NOT #GRIFFINLODGEBAGUIO 'S FAULT and that (3) GRIFFIN LODGE WILL NOT REFUND A SINGLE CENT OF YOUR PAYMENT and THAT (4) it's #HOTELS.COM which OVERBOOKED and as such (5) it should be Hotels.com obligation to refund any payments an online booker made. It is has been an on going scam for years already. #GriffinLodgeBaguio is just PURE EVIL and should be padlocked by the Department of Tourism, Mayor's Office, Department of Trade and Industry / SEC and the Bureau of Internal Revenue !!! #Baguiotourism, #Baguiomayor, #BaguioDTI, #BIRBaguio, #BIR
