Today a popular landmark, it was built to guide shipping through the treacherous sandbanks off the Eiderstedt peninsula and into the Heverstrom. The red and white striped tower has 157 steps. The old lighthouse was a great attraction even late at night from the street. It is also visible when the ship enters Skandinavienkai.

Perfect place to start walking your dog. Nice, clean and rel. cheap parking lot, not too lonely and not too crowded. Dogs are permitted all year, and if you are accompanied by a friendly and educated dog you may let the dog walk free. The very long beach is beautiful, so don't forget to have a sunbath or to play with the other dogs.
