Pick up a fly rod at the Orvis Manchester Fly Fishing School, situated in the heart of Vermont's Green Mountains, and you'll be casting like a seasoned angler in just two short days of classes. Our expert instructors help you with everything from setting up the rod, to fly selection and knots, to how to safely release your catch. I was referred to Team O’Neil by one of my friends who had attended. His team had sent someone to all of the driving schools in the country to find the best fit for their needs and the teams have continued to use them for about 10 years. I trust my friend with my life, so I began making plans to attend; I live 2600 miles away. I chose from the beginning to attend all five-days. The timing looked good so I made a phone call about five months in advance of attending. Karl answered the phone and then my barrage of questions. I could tell he cared about me, meeting my needs/requirements, and my experience with Team O’Neil; I paid my 50% deposit. Just two-days prior to the class (of course Friday late afternoon) there was a hiccup on my end and I was 2/3 of the way there. I called Karl and left a message. My call was returned within 10 minutes. I explained my situation and he listened. Karl then spoke with their CEO and Karl called me back with the solution. I don’t believe most schools will take that kind of time and thought for a situation and could have easily treated it in a way that would not have been a good one for me. The biggest factor was their attitude – I couldn’t have asked for one that was more understanding and I could hear in Karl’s voice that they cared. Arrival on Day 1 – Well-oiled machine. Karl met us at their meeting point to ensure everyone arrived at the school. He explained the route, the road concerns (this was in February with some snow), and the plan if we were separated at any point. Were in the classroom for about one-hour then in the cars. Days 2-5 – We always knew the What, Where, When, How, and Why. We were encouraged to ask questions. The instructors wanted us to know the WHY of everything we did and explained to us how we could accomplish it. Driving – The instructors demonstrated everything we were being asked to do, while they explained it. It was explained in advance and while we were in the cars. We were constantly receiving actionable feedback the whole time. We had a teammate with us (2:1 student to instructor) so we were able to observe another and learn from their successes and errors, while we also felt the way the car responded from the backseat; I teach professionally and observing others is a huge learning opportunity. The surface conditions were constantly changing, forcing us to “read” the road and adapt. If you are only planning on attending Day 1 or Day 2 – DON’T LEAVE BEFORE DAY 3! This is where it comes together for you. I could hardly sleep that night from the excitement of the day. One team added on one extra day and another added two extra days while they were there. If you are planning on getting into Rally or just be a more competent driver, seriously consider Team O’Neil. I’ll share two quotes to help ease your financial concern: “If you think training is expensive … try ignorance.” - Tom Givens “If you think it’s expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur.” - “Red” Adair

I had an eft treatment with Blaine and my body unloaded massive amounts of tension in an unbelievably short amount of time. It was really crazy - an experience that ive only ever felt maybe once during a month long meditation retreat. At one point in the session my body temperature dropped significantly, and I became very cold despite the cozy room temp of upper 70s. I couldn't make sense of what was happening, but Blaine just calmly put a blanket over my shoulders, told me that yin energy was being released from my body. He then asked if I was warm and comfortable. When I left that day I left without some serious baggage that I didn't even know I had walked in with. I've never had the pleasure of meeting another energy worker with that skill, and am forever grateful for that experience. No hocus pocus "new age" energy work here, just some simple doctors skilled in the art of subtlety. This happened years ago, not in December 2019 (that was the earliest date I could pick from tripadvisor). Probably same of even better service now, and I believe the prices are the same ????

What a great way to spend a Saturday evening! We learned not only the recipes, but also a lot of the chemical and nutritional information underlying them, all while casually enjoying a glass of wine and having someone else clean up the dishes. Pretty much the perfect meal! Chef Arianna is extremely fun and knowledgeable, and she does a great job of not only teaching and instructing, but also of entertaining and being a great host. Can't wait to come back and see you again!
