We are located in Minakami of Gunma,Japan. We are bed and breakfast(Dinner is also included). Minakami offers the natural beauty of 4 seasons. You can enjoy river activity(rafting, canyoning, SUP etc)in summer season,and skiing and snowboarding in winter around here.

Reviewed By Danny HMy wife and I stayed here after a day hiking up Tanigawadake. We were first welcomed by 4 of the cutest Golden retrievers and then we checked in. The owners were extremely friendly and welcoming. Our stay included evening meal and breakfast and both were fantastic. Breakfast doesn’t usually start until 8am, but, as we were leaving at 7:45am the next day, the owner prepared breakfast for us at 7am! I’d definitely stay here again! Danny UK via Tokyo

Reviewed By komadanda寒さ厳しい2月に妻と宿泊しました。 今年は例年にない大雪で雪見風呂もしっかりと堪能できました。 数年ぶりの再訪だったので懐かしさも手伝いどこかノスタルジックに浸ってしまいました。２４時間入れる露天風呂はこれでもかというほど入らせていただきました。やはり赤谷湖を眺望できるロケーションは最高です。食事はボリュームもありとても美味しかったです。 女将さんをはじめスタッフみなさんの丁寧な対応にまた来たいという気持ちにさせてくれます。日帰り入浴も受け付けているので気になる方はまずは温泉から体験されてみることをお勧めいたします。

Reviewed By tas0tas0丸沼スキー場近くのペンションです。 ペンション村の一番手前、わかりやすい場所にあります。 家族経営のペンションで、アットホームな雰囲気です。 食事は大変美味しく、たくさん食べる連れ(男性)もお腹いっぱいになりました。 お風呂は貸切で入ることができます。 タオルはないので、持参をお勧めします。 (有料でレンタルあります) 音が響きやすい構造なので、歩く際や話し声は少し注意が必要です。 部屋数は限定されますが、犬同伴可能です。 食堂やお風呂、ラウンジは連れて行くことができませんので、ケージを持参してください。

Extremely friendly - especially for man's best friend
Reviewed By Gordon FWe selected this pension near the Marunuma ski slope in Katashina because we wanted to take a trip from Tokyo with our dog and the choice could not have been better. Excellent breakfasts and dinners, enthusiastic and very friendly couple in charge, very good location for casual wandering around and a fine, not-too-developed destination that we liked much better than our usual beat around the Five Lakes area of Mt. Fuji. The atmosphere of all the villages, facilities, and lakes that we dropped by was very welcoming and free of the usual overdose of rules, warnings and signs that often overwhelm one in other Japanese travel destinations. The dining room features an animal feeding area on the other side of a glass panel to which badgers, raccoon dogs (tanuki) came every evening during dinner. Totally charming and relaxing canine-friendly hotel.

Reviewed By echorin1泊朝食付きで泊まりました。部屋にトイレが付いていたのは有難かったけれど、冬だったからか一晩中ボイラーのような鈍い音が床に響いていて、音に神経質な私達はあまり眠れませんでした。ただ、お風呂は広くジャグジーが利いていて、朝食はボリューム満点朝から湯豆腐まで食べられて豪華でした。

昭和レトロペンション
Reviewed By mietohsitai古いペンションです。部屋は作りが古くしょうめは暗く、テレビは極小です。バストイレ洗面も昔のままなのでウォシュレットやサーモスタットシャワー等は有りません。また、コロナの為、貸切浴室も閉鎖されていました。しかし食事はなかなか良いと思います。価格も安いのでスキーや登山など他の目的がある人には良いかもしれません。

Excellent service, hospitality and tranquility
Reviewed By lloyd7600My husband and I hit two birds with one stone, i.e. we experienced the cherry blossoms and snow in our short visit to Marunuma. Pension Waltz was a great place to stay! We only stayed at the pension for two nights, but the pension was clean, well maintained, and really comfortable. It had an enormous bath and free Wi-fi. The foods served were all delicious and delectable. The friendly, caring and hospitable staff did a great job and excellent service. They made our stay even more special and the atmosphere was just like home. It was very peaceful that we didn't have any trouble in our sleep. If you are looking for tranquility, this is the best place for you. I highly recommend this pension for local and international tourists. It is accessible by taking the shinkansen from Tokyo station to Jyou mou Kougen station, then you can take the bus and reach Marunuma Kougen.
