This hotel is very close to Ishigaki port, which makes it perfect as a "base camp" to explore the Yaeyama islands. Moreover, the value is huge for the little price that it costs: big and clean rooms, free laundry, helpful staff (they even made us do the check in before the allowed time since the room was ready) and, cherry on top, a good breakfast in the morning with perfectly cooked eggs and spam meat. Obviously if you are serching for luxury or a resort style stay this is not the place for you, but if you are looking for an unexpensive stay with all the basic amenities... look no further.

I would not say that the hotel is truly a "hotel" more like a hostel of a sort. Very basic, somewhat clean, and located conveniently about 50m from the beach. The breakfast could have been a bit better. It was annoying to have been kicked out at 9 am precisely by the staff. Make sure you check out by 10 am, even though the ferry is not until 4.00 or 4.30 pm, because you will be charged 2,500 yen for overstaying. That is rather annoying, because when we arrived was 11 am, and had to stay around with our luggage until 2 or 3 pm to check in, then on the way out, we had the same experience. Mercifully, the hotel lets you leave at your own risk the luggage at the counter room. There is a nice bar that is worth checking out, called something like One and ½ Half or like that. Very authentic, check it out. If you are lucky, you will get some craft beer too. We were not so lucky and had to resort to the ordinary Orion draft - a dreadful drink, reminiscent to Budwiser.

Convenient location, adjacent with Moon Beach Hotel. The guests of the moon villa have free access to the beautiful pool and beach as same as the ones of the hotel, but cost just one third room rate. That’s the most attractive point. Moreover, the spacious room, comfortable bed, nice owner, Mr. Shiro, and warm service make the villa like family. Surrounded by so many restaurants and 24-hours stores. Kids friendly. Definitely the best choice for family stay.

I stayed here for a week while in Onna-son on business. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed so I was very comfortable. Although some construction behind the hotel has spoiled the views from the balcony, the balcony itself, with its table and chair, was a comfortable place to relax. The staff were very welcoming and kind. Due to COVID, breakfast was served in a box that guests picked up from the dining room and took back to their rooms (I even ate on the balcony a couple of times!). It was a very nice breakfast--more food than I could eat. There was also coffee and tea available in the room. Staying for a week, I needed to do laundry. The hotel had nice washing machines and even supplied free laundry detergent. There's not much within walking distance, except beach access and the university. But for me that was all I needed.

I have not actually visited this property, but I have unsuccessfully booked a stay twice. First in October 2018 I had to cancel my stay when ANA canceled my flight from Tokyo to Miyako due to a supertyphoon. I booked a stay again for April 2020, but this time my flight to Japan from the United States was canceled because of the coronavirus. The staff handled both cancellations with understanding, kindness, and compassion. They did not attempt to charge me for the cancellations, and they encouraged me to keep trying to visit Miyako despite all of the bad luck. Email communication was easy, efficient, and helpful. Five stars for caring about customers.

We stayed here for 2 nights on a short break to Okinawa. Booked for dinner and it was really good, cooked with great skill and care. Rooms are good value and super clean. Perfect for a short break as beaches were close

We stayed here in July 2019 and it was a great spot to explore the northern part of Okinawa. 5 mins up the road on Sesoku Island is the beautiful Sesoku beach, amazing especially for beautiful sunsets. Motobu is close for food and shops and Nago is only a short ride too. it was about 15-20 mins to the Aquarium, which we can highly recommend. We took the day to drive up to Cape Hedo and around the top of the island, which was lovely. Stopped to walk to waterfalls along the way. Not too much traffic up this end of the island at that time, very relaxing.

False advertising. The hotel is overpriced. What you get for $200 you should get for $60. The owner and manager need a wake up call. There is no private bathroom. The bathtubs are outside in their "restaurant". It needs to be cleaned and refurbished. The rooms are right next to one another, too. For less price you can get significantly better just around the corner. Then once you get there they try to sell you on their "blue suites" in another location for only $800 more. SMH. Stay away.

Ilmare Unarizaki is a hotel with a diving resort (Diving Team Uorsezaki Iriomote). The room is Western style room with a bus-room, TV , cooler (not air conditioner) and small refrigerator. It is not a combined toilet. The room is a minimum size. Most of guests are divers. I could not see the ocean well from my ground floor room. Okinawa cuisine at the restaurant is delicious and reasonable. However, the last call time was 20:30, and I felt it was too early.

We have stayed there two night at end march, wonderful experience. The whole hotel setting is so perfectly matched with the environment. Simple architectural language but carefully designed. If you love architecture, must appreciate it. Must try their food, dinner and breakfast are so good. A home away home experience.
