The Hotel Knorz is a in the 3th generation family owned, modern Bed&Breakfast. It is located next to the city center of Zirndorf and in perfect reach to all types of delicious restaurants. In the backyard you will find a spacious garden and teracce that offers you a seat when ever you want to relax. The Playmobil-Funpark is just a short walk away and offers a lot of fun to kids and adults. Those interested in history might want to discover the „Alte Veste“, a rebuilt bastion from the 30-years war. Zirndorf is located in the „Metropolregion Nuremberg“ with a lot of interesting things to see. After a 30 min drive you will arrive at the historical city center, the famous castle „Kaiserburg“, the toy-museum and at the time around christmas the big „Christkindlesmarkt“. Reviewed By Jure KA beautiful, modern, small but very clean hotel in a great location for a trip to the playmobil park. Very quiet surroundings with free parking and a fantastically garden with activities for kids. Very friendly and helpful staff! Renting playmobil set is also a positive like for children. For my taste a somewhat modest breakfast but quite ok. The only little thing that was a bit unusual ( at least for me) was that there was no selfservice tea and coffee at breakfast buffet (otherwise they bring it individually to the table). I also missed eggs. CONS:Breakfast PROS: Everything else!

Reviewed By HannaBGoodAlthough it was my first stay at this hotel, I was greeted as warmly as if I'd been a long-standing customer. The room was surprisingly spacey, all amenities needed were available and there was obviously a lot of thought put into everything. The guest toilets for women were stocked with female hygiene products, hairspray and other little items set out for use in case a weary traveler would need these. It's little things like this that can make a stay go from "nice" to "perfectly pleasant". The rooms and bathroom were spotless, plenty of different lights to adjust to individual needs. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were silent, despite being close to a street--I slept like a rock. We had our dinners in the restaurant, there was always a great selection and the cook was kind enough to comply with my special wishes due to being on a low-carb diet. If you get around to it, try their Fränkischer Trester, a neat cross between grappa and whiskey from local produce. The restaurant prices were average, and perfectly justified for the fantastic quality and service. Breakfast was included in our room price, offering a nice assortment and freshly made scrambled eggs, tea, coffee, müsli(s), fresh fruit, fresh bread and buns. What stood out to me was the ambiance of the place, very relaxed and seemingly small at first, being a family business, but highly professional in what they deliver. I've racked my brains trying to find a "but", alas, I found none. I'll be recommending this to all my friends, they also offer romantic get-away packages and offer bike rentals, making it a great stay for couples as well. If you want to spend a night in the Nürnberg area: book this place!

Fun but expensive
Reviewed By Peter_Dawn01We stayed for two days, with a night in the hotel. Hotel reception is not manned 1100 to 1600, so take a printed copy of your booking to get into the park first. Nice clean room. There is no option to eat after 1800, when the park closes as there is no restaurant or bar in the hotel. There is a parents’ room with microwave, so worth stocking up before you visit. Car parking is free at the hotel, but there is limited storage facility for luggage if on public transport (there are lockers in the park, but not big enough for a large suitcase). Breakfast is a 5 minute walk away in the park and was quite good. A cheaper option would be a hotel in Fürth and separate day tickets for the park but this hotel is very handy when the children are worn out!

Why actually the name CineHotel ? because from 1913 to the 1960's the building was a cinema. In the 1960's, a supermarket moved into the building, and later a video rental shop. In 2005 the building was demolished and the Hotel was built on the original foundation, with the aim of bringing back memories of the golden ages of Hollywood! And when you wish to experience the big cinema feeling, just close your eyes, listen to the sound tracks, and imagine yourself back in the days when you were 6 years old, for the first time you are sitting in front of the big screen with your eyes wide open in amazement waiting for the Movie to start! Do you remember the movie you watched for the first time in a Cinema? Mine was Disney's Cap and Capper... Why is the Hotel called Maroni? Have a look around Zirndorf. In autumn, you see Maroni's (Chestnuts) everywhere... Beautiful Chestnut trees decorate the city just like the one you see in front of the Hotel, on the market square. Dated but good
Reviewed By Eugene BThis hotel was initially hard to find as there was construction taking place in the vicinity. Eventually after being asked to leave the Café/Restaurant due to a private arty we were directed to a small entrance with a solid looking security door at the back of the building. The guy on reception was helpful and got us our room and keys etc. quickly. Parking was limited out front but there was a parking area very close with adequate space. The room was rather tired looking, given our two previous german hotel experiences in the days beforehand. The toilet radiator had lost most of its paint and about half of the lamps were lacking bulbs. Still it was clean although the sofa bed conversion was the least comfortable of all the hotels used in our trip to Germany. The breakfast was also the most limited of our German trip but none the less was more than sufficient for our needs. The girls on duty were really helpful even give our linguistic limitations. You had to order you coffee directly from the waiting staff and albeit was still from a machine, it tasted good. As their primary sell point is their location beside Playmobil fun park, there was a play area for the kids and this was hugely influential on the kids enjoying their stay.

Even if it's not in Nurnberg it's so close that it doesn't make any difference. I would recommend to anyone that a has a car.

Wifi and parking are available. Unfortunately we hadn't time for visiting nearest Play Mobile park. So it's a good place to stay for it.

Odd little place
Reviewed By biztrav123Property in the middle of downtown Zirndorf. a few restaurants and cafes around it. I did not have a room in the main building, but in a small house they have around the corner with a couple of floors of rooms. Room was a family room with a double bed in the main room as you walk in. A central hall with a bathroom on the left, a room with bunkbeds ahead, and a small room with a couch and table/chairs/tv on the right. No coffee service, no microwave, no fridge....why bother with a table and chairs???? Functional bathroom with small sink, toilette, shower stall. Floors were bare imitation wood floors, so not that comfortable to walk barefoot on. room was a meat locker at first until I cranked up the radiators. Door to the hallway did not deaden sound so the noise from the room across the hall or the entry way was loud. Paid 90E .... CASH ONLY....during a trade fair in Nuremberg. Did not eat in the hotel other than breakfast....no hot food. Cold cuts, pastries, yogurt, cereal. would not be in a hurry to go back, but it was not bad. The area around the hotel was cute. We ate across the street in another restaurant that was excellent traditional fare.

Reviewed By tregslWe booked the top room for 4 of us. We were visiting Nuremberg for an event and this was perfect - only 20 minutes drive away. Free roadside parking directly outside and we didn't struggle to find a space. The apartment was larger than we expected and very clean. The towels were lovely and large, none of these tiny ones you get in other hotels! Kitchen is stocked with everything you need for a comfortable stay, including a coffee machine with extra filters and sugar. I would suggest to bring your own tea bags if you want a proper cup of English tea though - we couldn't find a single box of proper tea until we were leaving. You will need to have reasonably good mobility for the rooms - we were on the top floor which were 2 flights of stairs. On the first floor there are two other rooms available. We had no issues ourselves with this but it may be something to consider if someone else is booking with reduced mobility. Not wheelchair friendly. We'll definitely be returning again in the future, thank you Angela for providing such lovely accommodation!

Reviewed By EvrggRooms (we had no 10 and 11 for 2 nights) are very small, it gets very hot during the summer and it smells from the kitchen downstairs. We couldn’t sleep with the windows open as lots of mosquitoes flew into the room, there is no protection net at the windows. We were all full of mosquitoes bites, the walls are full of dead insects and blood stains from the previous guests. Breakfast was basic, wifi reliable, better stay elsewhere.

Reviewed By matteobresaSono stato una notte in questa struttura che si trova sul retro di un ristorante. Per arrivare alla camera si fanno un paio di rampe di scale ripide in legno. La camera è basica, basterebbe poco per migliorarla cosi come il bagno. Non pretendo grandi cose quindi a me è bastata. Il riscaldamento non funzionava quella sera quindi il titolare mi ha portato una stufetta. Molto positivo la gentilezza e disponibilità del titolare, davvero apprezzata che mi ha portato anche una brioche calda per la colazione! Zindorf poco fuori Norimberga.
