Yongkang isnt as westernised yet as say Guangzhou or Shanghai but this is the best hotel I've tried in the area without being spectacular. Its better for business and i wouldn't recommend for holiday really. Staff are pretty helpful and some have good English which helps a lot. Rooms are typically laid out like many Chinese hotels although the electric toilet seats are a little fun gimmick! Breakfast is pretty good and there are some western options on the food menu but a little limited

Better after changing to BW chain
Reviewed By visitlimpPreviously, it was Yongkang Pearl and was very old. However, after change to BW chain, rooms are renovated above my expectation. Room structure is the same as before, but all are new. Breakfast is extremely good with lots of variety.

Reviewed By yuchung5This is a local hotel but involved in major hotel chain. Overall, it is ok. Not a lot of choices in Yongkong area. Hardware is ok, but it is a bit old. Maintenance was not very good. If you don't mind driving, you can stay in Yiwu which is about 75 minutes out. If not, this is one of the best hotel in Yongkong.

Reviewed By Armen HVery clean hotel with big rooms, breakfast is good with wide choice of Chinese and Western cuisine. Helpful staff. Only negative is very poor English at front desk, but I think this is common for this area. Very good for few days business trip

Very nice hotel and the rooms surprised me!
Reviewed By CDubChinaI have stayed at many hotels in small Zhejiang cities (like Yongkang) and have found that most of them tend to be older and not so clean. However, this is not the case with the Maixi Hotel. I was very impressed with the room layout and the decoration of the rooms for a hotel in this price range. The room is huge, has a nice sofa and tea table, outstanding bathroom, and I even have a private veranda. If you find yourself needing to stay in Yongkang, I highly recommend this hotel over the other larger hotels in this area. The only issue is that the hotel doesn't have any non-smoking rooms. When I checked in, I asked for a non-smoking room and the front desk agent was very candid with me and said that all rooms are smoking. There was a faint smell of cigarette smoke in my room, but this is to be expected in most Chinese hotels.

Feel reborn after climbing the rock!

Why i say like that, cause i really fight, struggling my fear, my high phobia to through this trekking, climbing the rock with my big body really really is not easy and i have a problem with balancing spot...so when i can finish this trip at first canyon, i feel reborn, makes me so happy...the local guide is so good! Never give up supporting me, he always says, u can do it! Even both of us finally slipped and get a little bit injured, he still doesn't give up, the result i can climb the wall safety... This canyon is so good, so natural, so fresh...this is worthy!
