Average run of the mill accommodation. Suited for large wedding party guest accommodation but not a special personalised occasion. I requested a view but got the employee carpark & water tanks. The spa rooms are large & the spa nice but overall tired room. The day spa was still under construction. The best part of the stay was the food! Restaurant still lacks atmosphere (feels like a foyer) but taste was sensational.

This stunning hotel is in the heart of the Yarra Valley, in the main street of Yarra Glen. The Yarra Valley Grand Hotel is a magnificent structure, it is well worth a visit, you can get a drink or have a meal. We had dinner on Saturday night there, I had a parma with a pot of Carlton Draught, it was very satisfying. Everyone in our party commented on how enjoyable the food was.

Our reception is open from 9am till 5pm daily, we carry local information/brochures/maps of places to visit, as well as sell kiosk snack items and soft drinks. All Rooms now have new flat screen digital televisions installed.
Great value accommodation in Yarra valleys with amazing views. All rooms have direct winery views. The surroundings are amazing: beautiful and serene. You feel like you are staying at a farmhouse winery. Located right next to Fergusson winery and really close to Yarra Glen township. All the staff are Indians so could be Indian owned business - like many wineries foreigners like to purchase in the Valley. They provided good service. Rooms are a bit tired with cracks and dirt here and there but given it is only 3.5 star I still think it is good value and will recommend.

Attending a wedding at Balgownie Estate, accommodation at the Estate fully booked, we had to seek an alternative. My fiancé found Leafield Cottages, just 6kms down the road. And what a hidden gem!. If you see the Dixons Creek Cafe, hang a left just past and on the left is Leafield Cottages. A number of small individual cottages to book, in a very scenic bush setting. We had Sage Cottage, and it certainly lived up to its name. Shades of green on the exterior and interior, the cottage is self contained with kitchen, lounge/bedroom and en-suite. Breakfast is included, which comprise of bread, eggs, pastries, fruit and condiments. For those of you with a larger car, the driveway into and to the cottages is a little narrow, but not too hard to navigate. Birdsong to wake you in the morning, gorgeous surrounds, and if you are feeling a little cold, a wood fired heater to make your stay just a little more intimate. Whether you are looking for somewhere to stay for an event in the area, or you are looking for somewhere out of the way with heaps of charm for a weekend, have a look at Leafield Cottages!!

The reviews on this property aren’t anywhere near correct or accurate There are photos of a fire place and floor boards and that room is actually where the owners live which is false advertising I was under the impression from the photos that we would have a living room with floor boards and a fire place and a bedroom like we had but we only had the bedroom There is a comment about the breakfast being exceptional Not sure how pieces of bread in a zip lock bag is exceptional There is wifi but doesn’t work at all , there is no reception at all The bed is so uncomfortable The location is great Parking great The gardens are gorgeous It is very expensive for a bedroom with bathroom I wouldn’t stay here again or recommend this place to anyone

I'm losing count now of the number of times I have stayed in The Burrow at Wombat Bend. It is truly one of those special places on the planet. The serenity and comfort that I feel when visiting the property is hard to put into words. Sue and Bill are wonderful hosts and for me it's a bit like going home. Being keen photographers, my partner and I were delighted once again to be able to observe the wonderful wild life that abounds. The early morning walk through the countryside was joy, even found three very friendly local dogs who were happy to accompany us :) Oh, and I could never forget the joy of meeting up with Angus and Jemima again, the two beautiful Airdales who very respectfully left us to our own devices. Thanks again Sue and Bill for another wonderful Wombat Bend experience. Can't wait until I can drive through the gates of your amazing property again.

Rooms were lovely and warm, we even had electric blankets to snuggle into to when we arrived home from our night out' I think this place could easily get too noisy if it had full capacity, as there were only 3 couples when we arrived and we could here them in the morning, but overall it was a lovely place to stay, clean and cozy building was decorated beautifully, however gardens needed a clean up but all in all it was lovely, breakfast was delicious .location is great, can walk into town within 10 minutes.

Exceptionally clean, modern and spacious 2 bedroom apartment (No. 5) Very easy check-in process. We travelled with our two young boys and having a small backyard as well as the spacious accommodation was great. Close to Supermarket, chocolate factory, wineries and huge playground. Would highly recommend and if we’re back in the Yarra Valley - this would be our first choice to re-book.

In the Valley is a country retreat set amongst over an acre of lush gardens in the heart of Yarra Glen in the Yarra Valley. The luxury accommodation overlooks manicured lawns and neat garden beds of roses, wisteria, camellias, primroses and azaleas. Nestled in the peaceful Steels Creek Valley just around the corner from Yarra Glen’s antique shops, restaurants and the Yarra Valley’s famous wineries. Five striking and luxurious suites offer total privacy in beautiful rose and daffodil-filled gardens amongst rolling hills. Two hillside king-sized studio suites with private balconies overlook the fabulous gardens. Inside, every feature guarantees complete comfort and sheer relaxation: double-heated spa, fires, (gas log in the studios) air-conditioning, electric blankets, TV/DVD , tea / coffee-making facilities and bar-fridge and free wifi. The main building houses three suites, two have queen-sized beds, the other a king-sized bed, with its own private courtyard, all with beautiful garden views. All suites include double-heated spas and cosy fires (air-conditioning in summer), TV and DVD player.
Rude staff. Hard beds. Cold breakfast Ants in bathroom. Small pool with strange smell. Not our idea of luxury. We checked out and went to Chateau Yering for a night to recover which is was much nicer for our couples getaway
