Many visitors to Namibia start their adventure in Windhoek, the capital and largest city of this South African country. Nama, Herero, German, Afrikaans, and British cultures have influenced the growth and development of Windhoek. Visit the statue of Hosea Kutako, a nationalist hero, in the gardens surrounding the Tintenpalast, the seat of the Namibian legislature, or chow down on ostrich kebab or zebra steak at Joe’s Beerhouse before leaving on a safari into the Namibian wilderness.

This is the real Namibia - the landscapes, the animals, the people. The Immanuel Wilderness Lodge lets you experience it all up close, without sacrificing comfort. We're a family-run business that offers quality amenities, a "gemütlich" atmosphere and award winning German-African cuisine. So join us. Come to relax, to unwind, to discover. Immerse yourself in the mystery and majesty of the Namibian wilderness. Our rooms offer cosy comfort and a rustic, authentic Namibian atmosphere. The thatched roofs and ceiling fans keep the temperature pleasant year round, whether you're visiting in the hot months of summer or the middle of winter. All rooms have their own ensuite bathroom with 24-hour hot water. While the sublime surroundings may tempt you to sit back with a good book and relax all day, there's so much more to explore in the local area. We offer guided tours to nearby farms, where you'll see the mythical wildlife for which Africa is famous, such as lions, leopards and cheetahs. The Kavango carver's market is a great place to experience local artisan culture and pick up some souvenirs. And just 20km to the south lies Windhoek, the nation's capital, with its colourful streets and distinctive German atmosphere. Immanuel Wilderness Lodge is perfectly situated in a central location. Situated on the banks of the dry Arebbusch River, Arebbusch Travel Lodge is nestled in the natural surroundings of the "veld." Far from the hustle and bustle of city life, yet minutes away from the capital’s shopping centres and attractions. The lodge offers high quality, affordable accommodation in luxury 2-6 bed self-catering units, standard rooms and budget rooms. Caravan and camping sites are also available.
The perfect overnight stop between the border and Etosha. We stayed in the luxury tents and they were really nice. Outside you have a braai and coffee station with a bar fridge and a carport. Inside two single beds with an aircon and a nice big bathroom. Clean and neat and had everything we needed. The breakfast was very good too. Can definately recommend. The only negative was the road noise at night.

The Hilton Windhoek was our first hotel in many as part of a much delayed wedding anniversary trip from 2020. I had booked the hotel separately from our organised tour as I’m a Hilton Honours Gold member and got a favourable rate on an Executive Lounge room. When we arrived, well after check-in time we were told our room was not ready. We were sent to the Exec Lounge on the top floor to wait. The lounge was cool and welcoming but after nearly 24hrs of travel we needed a shower and a room to settle into. It was only when the duty manager wandered in that we enquired again about our room and he said he would find out what was happening. About 10 mins later he appeared with a key in hand. At last, we could relax. When we got to our room we found we had been upgraded to one of their suites - thank you Hilton! After that the service, especially in the Exec Lounge was very good. Breakfast in the main restaurant was very busy, there were hardly any set tables available and we had to fight through the hoards of conference attendees to get anything. It was not a great start to the holiday, and I’m sure that if rooms had been ready and the conference had not been on, it would have been a more relaxing experience. Not sure I would stay again and would probably head out to a game lodge outside of the city

Hotel Thule was originally a one-time luxury home built by the late Edmund Lafrenz in 1960 as a sumptuous home for himself and his late wife, Liselotte. It was purchased by Windhoek businessman and entrepreneur, Wolfgang Egerer just before the turn of the century, who then reconstructed it into the beautiful up-market 25 bedroom hotel it is today. The outstanding panoramic views over Windhoek are a unique and unparalleled feature of this pearl of Namibia. Hotel Thule offers first class accommodation, quality service, tranquility and style to ensure customer satisfaction.
Nice location. No complaints about the service.Only irritating thing is this review that force me to type two hundred characters while I am not in the mood an don’t have time to write such a long review

A stone's throw away from the magnificient Gamsberg, on the borders of red sand dunes, with an abundance of Mountain Zebra and antelopes spread over majestic landscapes, fully solar-powered and sporting an observatory perfect for star-gazing - this is ROOISAND Desert Ranch - an extra-ordinary retreat for the young-at-heart!
Really outstanding location with excellent service. Lodge and campside are awesome. The starry sky is unbeatable, also an observatory tour is very worthwhile. Coming from Sussus Flai it was a perfect stop on our way to Windhuk.

The elegant 41-bedroom boutique hotel situated on the prestigious Am Weinberg Estate. The rooms complement the historic character, while modern amenities and 5-star touches ensure the utmost comfort. Indulge yourself with a stay in one of our lavish Courtyard rooms, with doors opening onto a beautiful courtyard or on to your own private balcony where you may sit and breathe in the peaceful ambiance. Our double volume, Oasis Lofts offer contemporary home-away-from-home comfort and are ideal for families or friends traveling together. These spacious suites feature a private en-suite bedroom, floor to ceiling windows, a separate lounge as well as a desk space.
The rooms are nice and in order. In detail, however, there are issues that really bother: for one, breakfast only goes until ten o'clock - at this time, checkout also takes place. For a hotel of this price category and location, both times would have to be later. The same goes for bars - they close very early, there is also no room service. Wifi did not work at all and even when we asked for amenities (such as a comb) they could not help us. On the whole, I would not visit the hotel a second time.
