The hotel was average - good. The only negative comments I can mark are that the key cards were very temperamental and I believe that the cleanliness could be improved. The staff members were excellent and made the stay much more enjoyable. If the staff members weren't so great I would have definitely marked this location lower.

When our flight was cancelled and the airport hotels were fully booked we looked on line and found this beautifully landscaped property within a few miles of EDI. We grabbed a taxi and checked in. The room was perfectly fine - roomy and comfortable, but the bathroom needed a complete refurbishment. We went to eat at the Pentland restaurant that evening. Much to our chagrin the Scottish salmon was kind of tasteless. Service was barely OK (very polite, but the staff need training). The next morning we had a buffet breakfast in the same restaurant, with the same feelings - buffet was OK - not great - but the staff needed more training. Although the surroundings are absolutely gorgeous we won't be returning.

Attended my daughter’s wedding here last weekend, with an overnight stay. We could not fault anything: staff were most polite and helpful; arrangements superb; food lovely and well presented; and function and bed rooms all great. Thank you for making a very special occasion for us so perfect.

Live it up in West Lothian with Premier Inn Hotel Livingston (M8, J3). Close to Livingston's buzzing town centre, you'll also be well placed for business and leisure destinations in Edinburgh and local attractions like Linlithglow Palace. Spend the morning hunting for designer bargains at the MacArthur Glen Outlet. Whiz into Edinburgh for a spot of lunch. Take an afternoon stroll around eerie ruins or, if it's the right time of year, get a taste of the countryside at the Royal Highland Show. Then return for a hearty meal in our restaurant, and relax in your extra-comfy bed.
We've stayed in many if these hotels as a family, and always been happy woth our experience. This hotel did disappoint due to it being very tired, a little grubby and smelly. The carpets and paintwork could donwith attention, and the general cleanliness of the place needs more work on it.

Had a lovely stay - room clean - bed comfy. Staff were all friendly enough but sadly for me the breakfast was a huge let down. It was cold! Not even like warm it was cold! Cold greasy bacon and cold baked beans is not something I want to eat and more so when I’m Paying £10 to do so, I did not complain or send it back as I was with family and it’s is embarrassing to have to do so more so when in company - the same items on their plates were also cold but they had a couple more items that were warm and helped disguise the fact although having said that none of us ate the bacon! I’d like to see better practice on serving hot food for people to eat because other than that we enjoyed our stay.

Had Sunday lunch today, what a great wee place. Roast were just enough even with the bottomless extras! We were looked after by Douglas who could have done any more for us! We will certainly be back with the full family!

My brother and I stayed here last night while attending the killers gig at Falkirk stadium. The welcome was warm and checking in was quick and easy being shown to our room within minutes of arrival. The rookie was smart and clean with a modern feel to it and a large en suite that had plenty of towels and toiletries at hand. After the gig which ran late and a lot of walking was needed to get to a point where we could get a taxi back which led to us getting back to the hotel in the early hours of this morning, understandably the hotel was closed for the night but within minutes of calling to advise we were outside we were let in by the poor girl who must have been on duty that night without any complaint. Breakfast this morning was a well cooked full Scottish fry up with coffee refills and toast nothing to complain about there either. Overall a very enjoyable stay at a reasonable price the only small gripe being that our room was on the top floor with no elevator which was explained as being due to the building being listed which prevented this type of modernisation.
