Reviewed By Brian WI don't too many 5 star reviews but this would be 4 if not for the service. Good location, however, you need to drive to just about everywhere that may be of interest. Really short walk to the GREATEST donut shop in Maine, hands down. My real issue is the service. I get it with COVID and all, however, if you're charging full rates, you should provide full service. We stayed 2 nights and the trash was never taken out of the room nor the bed made. Were we supposed to do that since trash bags were in the hallway? I expect a little more bang for the buck. As one of the other comments, it is rather noisy.

Reviewed By OdarkthirtyWe stayed at this place previously and decided to come back. We weren’t disappointed. The rooms were clean and comfortable. My only issue is that they are not well soundproofed - you can hear folks opening and closing their doors and flushing their toilets. The good news is that it appears to quiet down by 10 PM when folks go to bed.

Worst Customer Service Experience EVER!
Reviewed By Michele MI somehow booked this hotel inadvertently and when I asked for help from the very rude man at the desk, he called me an idiot. Seeing he was totally dismissive and uncaring of my situation, I said to him well wouldn’t you be upset? His response was no because I wouldn’t be an idiot like you and book the wrong hotel. Can you imagine? When I had booking.com on the phone to allow him to cancel, he YELLED at me and said I’m not talking on your phone. I asked for the phone number so they could call him and he seemed so annoyed at even that request! Absolutely terrible way to be treated and for that reason I will never book with this hotel in the future. He could care less about my problem and could not be less helpful in trying to cancel that reservation. Totally and I mean totally unacceptable and inexcusable behavior!

Oct. 12th was our anniversary so we decided to reserve a cottage just for the two of us. We booked for Oct. 11 - Oct. 14th it was clean and had more then I thought and it met our needs and want. As always the staff at the office was polite and helpful. I would recommend this place and I know we will be coming back again.

Beds are incredibly comfortable (more on the firm side) and a ton of TV channels. K-cup coffee and fridge in room. They have a Pepsi machine next to the ice machine by the pool. LOVE the fact that this is a pet free and smoke free facility. Parking lot is tight so if you have a large vehicle it's tricky.

The bedroom (the West room) was comfortable and nicely decorated although getting to it was a bit tricky if you have mobility issues; the stairs leading up to it are narrow and steep...and creaky (but that is expected from a home that’s almost 200 years old). The bathroom was roomy and had all the necessary amenities. Patrick, the host, was very accommodating considering we arrived past 8 pm. He is friendly, warm and loves to share stories. And his breakfast was scrumptious.

We booked last minute when everything else was full or $600 and we found this gem for $120. I'd go back. Cute pool area but we didn't use it since it was fall weather.

Every room has in-room coffee, high speed internet, refrigerator, cable TV, heat, a/c, telephone. Kings have a microwave. We are located ata 40 Post Road, Wells, Maine 04090.
The reviews were misleading. Overwhelming cleaning products!

The people running the inn are lovely BUT the cleaning products they are using are so strong and overpowering, we had to check out and find other accommodations. I got a migraine and my throat and sinuses started swelling just from trying to collect all our things to move elsewhere. We had checked in and then went exploring in hopes of the air clearing up while we were out. No such luck. So overpowering! The exterior and grounds are lovely but the rooms need a serious update. We were lucky to find something else so quickly. They did give us a full refund with no hassle. I hope they make some changes and wish them well. I know cleanliness is important in these times but these products are ridiculously strong and feel toxic.
