L'hotel Capricorne de Vendome est ideal pour le tourisme autour des chateaux de la Loire proche de Vendome ou pour aller au zoo de Beauval, a Chartres, Orleans, Tours ou Blois, pour visiter Cheverny, Chenonceaux ou Amboise.

Reviewed By Mike CTurning up at a place at random usually comes with apprehension. But unwarranted in this case. Situated across the road to the train station with plenty of parking and a restaurant next door. Ten minutes walk from the scenic centre. Motel style. Top marks for functionality. Plenty of electricity sockets to charge gadgets and the wifi is very good. The owner seems to be there much of the time which gives it that personal touch. Breakfast was very good.

Reviewed By KimMarie747Spotlessly clean, very nice staff, very comfortable bed. Right in the centre of town, and close to restaurants. We arrived on a Sunday when there were no staff working, but check in was easy through the side entrance and a code sent to us and our keys were waiting. We requested a quiet room - the only downside was that although the hotel was nearly empty, we were given a room with noisy people in next rooms and were woken very early on both mornings by banging doors and people loudly talking, so didn't get the lay-in we had wanted in the mornings, when we had requested a quiet room, and would have appreciated being away from others seeing as the hotel was so empty.

Reviewed By jeanlucg370This is a good hotel and restaurant on Vendome area. It has a good geographical position if you come from Blois city area. Room are confortable, bathroom with Italian shower must be improved. To much water on the floor (no wall). Restaurant is good, if they can increase a little the quantity it will be better. Breakfast is good with enough choices.

Excellent place for a long stay
Reviewed By CimmerianblokeWe stayed there for a ten-day period in one of the upper-hand mobile homes. Perfect for a family of four, the mobile home is fully furbished, with modern appliances, and a shower. The owners running the campsite have always been available for help and answering our questions, the sanitary block was always clean, with washing machine and dryer available, as well as a decent shop for basics. Definitely a recommended place.

Reviewed By john wVery clean and tidy with a lovely en-suite bathroom a shame that you had to use a shared toilet as there was plenty of room to have put one in the en-suite. However all the facilities were there and a very pleasant breakfast was laid on in the morning. Right in the centre and within walking distance of all the shops and restaurants. Just round the corner from the Abbey, Could not get a better location in Vendom than here.

No show & bad service
Reviewed By AstridSEAI booked this place through booking.com while I was travelling from the Netherlands to the south of France on the 26th of July 2021. I booked it on the same day that I intented to arrive because it was supposed to be a stop over during my two long days driving. I looked for hotels on booking.com where I could arrive late around 22 in the evening and Le Grand Saint Marc was listed amongst them so I booked it and paid immediately so the room would not be taken by somebody else. While driving the hotel e-mailed me that a late check in was not possible after 20 hours. Since I was driving I saw this message only when I stood in front of their (closed) gate in the dark at 22 hours. I emailed Le Grand Saint Mark explaining what happened and that I wanted my money back, since I had already payed thinking that I secured my place for the night. But I don't even get an anwser back and they don't pick up the phone. I called with booking.com several times about this and they can't fix anything because I am listed as a "no show" by the hotel. So Le Grand Saint Mark got their money and booking.com their fees without any stay, service or reply whatsoever. I am very dissapointent with the way they handle something like this. I have emailed the hotel, called them the day after and I don't get any answer back. Booking.com says they call me back but they don't either. I will appreciate if you willsend me back my payment because I am not a 'no show'. You don't show up for me. Very bad service.

Pas présent au petit déjeuner servi par leur fille (en pyjama) et très jeune Le principe normalement de la chambre d'hôtes c'est échangé mais ici rien du tout vraiment déçue de mon sejour

Reviewed By Lucile110617Un très bon accueil des bâtiments neuf et d'autres un peu moins mais cela n'empêche pas un bon confort. Les chambres ont un sanitaire privatif il y a assez de couverture par couchage. Le petit déjeuner est esquis.
