It is difficult to rate anything as low, but circumstances do tolerate such a rating. During this difficult time, when hotels and tourist attractions have reopened, we all need to follow the advice of care and attention to detail. Most hotels have been closed for a painfully long time and, when reopening have adhered to thorough cleaning. Sadly and regrettably, this is not the case for this hotel. Grubby and tired. Not in any sense has there been a deep clean of this place. But the worst part is that the rooms have spas/jacuzzi which of course need even more attention to cleanliness. When booking the hotel and again upon arrival, I did ask if the rooms and spas were thoroughly disinfected, and had the reassurance of the staff and owner. This was not the case, as after slightly overfilling the spa, the jets bubbled and released faeces into a scum around the corner surface. Unfortunately not immediately noticeable...... The 'grime' was at the very top of the spa seal, difficult to see at first, but shocking after. The point is made... However, when asking a member of staff to view both the bathroom and the spa, I was told that I am too fussy in respect of the bathroom and, that the spa problem was 'not there yesterday' Taking a towel and wiping the top edge of the spa, it was easy to demonstrate what had built up - the white towel displayed the colour and degree of the problem. Had there been equal shock/surprise and maybe a little regret from the staff, it might have helped the situation, but this was not forthcoming and really, no additional time could be wasted trying to make this serious point.

The only hotel on the marina of Torre del Lago Puccini. Seafront.
This is a really ghastly place. It smells of seediness. Bleach. The bathrooms are unspeakable. The absence of reviews when this is the only hotel in the area makes one suspicious. The area is very down at heel. Empty units. Not a shadow of what it was

Our visit started on the right foot; our plane was delayed but we had arranged an airport shuttle pick up and our man was waiting (and had been for 90 minutes). We were assigned room 3 and we were given the keys and quickly left to settle. Unfortunately our visit coincided with torrential rain and thunderstorms so breakfast was at a restaurant at the edge of the lake. I was given a brolly to walk back with and we were even offered a lift. Later we were dropped at the train station. We missed the location at its best that’s for sure but we were blown away by the way were looked after and want to go again in the next year or two to see the place in the sun. The room was really comfortable with a fridge and drinks facilities. We chose the location for the Puccini Opera Festival and on all fronts we couldn’t recommend it more.

We find in the middle of Torre del Lago P. village and are far from the beach and the lake 1 km. Viareggio is near us 6 km. During summer periods we have the opportunity to have half-board (breakfast and lunch) at "Andrea Doria" beach. During other periods bed with breakfast or without. Free covered parking, rooms with services, air conditioned,tv,frigo. Big terrace for relaxing moments
Yes,this hotel is old,but is typical of the region. The room was clean and had air con,the bathroom is tiny and when you sit on the toilet you rest your head on the wall in front of you and could be a problem if you are a fatty. We asked for extra pillows which were no problem and the family run hotel reacted to any problems very quickly.Car parking is excellent, and if you want a no frills hotel value for money, this is it.

First Camping Europa is family friendly place. You can see the life of local Italians who stay in trailers and make barbecue and noisy celebration every Saturday :) Well it's camping place, so it's quite noisy here, specially if German teenagers drink beers in close bungalows. But if you came with trailer you are safe, you can locate it in rearward side of camp where it's calm place. We have stayed in apartment for 3 week here. The original apartment was mouldy but the main receptionist Tiffany ensured us immediately a new bigger apartment (for the same price). We really enjoyed staying in that house. There is a nice, well supplied food shop, tool shop, restaurant with pizzeria, swimming pool and bike rental directly in the camping site. There is wonderful walk (1km) through the fragrant subtropical forest (Natural park Migliarino San Rossore Massaciuccoli) to the beach. You can also take a minibus to the beach which goes every 20 minutes for free and very nice driver give you important information about trips and restaurants in surroundings. The beach is really outstanding, it's public with white sand and long over 2 km. But don't wonder you will see only boys there! It's meeting point for gays for whole Toscana. The sea is not really crystal clear as in Calabria, after storm we could see often seaweeds and jellyfish. This area of Toscana is great for making trips to famous cities we could recommend Lucca, Pisa and Volterra. We really enjoyed staying here and we could absolutely recommend this camping, especially for very friendly staff who care. Thank you Tiffany! :)

Caffeletti is the closest bed and breakfast to the sea,at a few hundred metres from the Natural Park of Torre del Lago.A perfect base for whoever chooses a relaxing holiday but doesn’t want to do without the entertainment offered by proximity to the pubs and clubs of the coast.
I come here since 10 years or more, and I always forget to write about iT! Pietro and Massimo have created together this little paradise, where during your breakfast u will meet turtles, little rabbits and u will be fascinated and inteigued by the little 100 curiosity around the cute little garden and living room. The passion of Massimo is still clearly present is the rooms, but Pietro is developing forward the tradition of "letting every single guest feeling special". I love every single bit of this place, I loved how Massimo could put every detail on his place and love now how Pietro could bring back the music in every room, just because he knew Massimo so well! If u have the time pass by for a visit! U will also feel the love!

Camping Italia is the perfect place for everyone planning a holiday in close contact with nature in one of Versilia’s most famous protected areas, just at short distance from a fine sandy beach, strategically positioned for visiting the art towns of Tuscany, for travelling along the oil and wine routes, and for practising all kinds of sports. Immersed in the Migliarino San Rossore Nature Park, Camping Italia offers accommodation in chalets and mobilhomes, complete with all facilities, spacious pitches for tents, camper vans and caravans, in addition to numerous useful amenities: supermarket, restaurant, free shuttle service to the sea (from June to September), internet point and wi-fi, bicycle hire, tennis courts and five-a-side football pitch, bowling green, ping-pong, play area for children and three swimming pools (open from June). Guests can enjoy tournaments, animation and evening entertainment for adults and children (in July and August).
On first arriving the reception - shops and pool area looked nice - we were given a map of the camping area and told to drive up and down and choose a plot! We chose to walk around to see what it was like and the drive ways - actually paths were so narrow we chose one that we thought was suitably wide enough for our motorhome - it was the widest and was still not wide enough - you couldn’t turn the van at the end of the road either - an Italian family helped us back up and into a tent pitch so we could drive across the pitches to exit - we got stuck in the sand pitches and when we eventually got out we just left it was dirty noisy and the worst place we’ve been to! We went to a sosta which was rammed with vans but very quiet and peaceful right on the sea front - our advice - don’t go here !!!’!!
