Mild ocean breezes, sandy beaches and swaying Torbay Palms give the small English town of Torquay a distinctively Mediterranean feel. More than just a beach spot, Torquay boasts an enormous coastal aviary and the famous Kents Cavern Prehistoric Caves. Agatha Christie spent most of her life here, and the city is now home to multiple film companies. With such a rich literary history, Torquay may be the perfect place to finish writing that novel or screenplay, or just to relax with a good mystery.

Overlooking the beautiful English Riviera, our hotel is steps from Torquay Marina. We are just off A379 along The Terrace Road, less than a mile from Torquay Beach and Princess Pier. Living Coasts Zoo, the city center, and Princess Theatre are all within a mile. WiFi and hot breakfast are included with your stay.
We had a king sized room fitted out for disabled people - my wife & i found it very helpful. Storage space for clothes was a bit sparse but very comfortable otherwise. We were very impressed with the courtesy of all staff members. Parking a problem - Even with my blue badge on display I was fined £70 for parking 'across the road' as indicated by the staff. I understand new parking facilities are being built? Definitely would use this hotel again. Alice on reception is taking this up with the authorities - we have not heard back since...?

Thanks to its seafront setting, our Premier Inn Torquay hotel is the perfect spot for scenic short breaks in Devon. As well as being right on the coastline, you'll find plenty of exciting things to do nearby, from visiting the animals at Paignton Zoo, to exploring the underground caves at Kents Cavern. Plus, couples and families alike will love the rides and amusements on Paignton Pier. There's two parts to the Premier Inn Torquay hotel - the historic building, and the modern annexe, which are connected to each other by a short, covered walkway. Whichever section you're staying in, though, you can look forward to delicious meals in our tasty Beefeater restaurant, before relaxing in an extra-comfy bed.
A pretty awful experience. The whole place has gone to seed. Despite knowing that rooms are not cleaned daily we did not expect spilled food in corridors to remain there the 5 days of our stay. Breakfast room quite disgusting, tables cleared of food debris & left standing by tills. Not good.

So Disappointed not what I paid for £250, for one night ,to be put in basement with limited sea view. Had to go down 2 flights of stairs didn’t expect that. Breakfast was good, hotel was grand Bedroom was very small, not like pictures, I wanted a lovely luxury relaxing break this was not it. I had requested high floor sea view. I was told by reception that is was very busy weekend and in future to get a good deal book direct not with booking .com I had looked at the price and it was £40 more for the same room (hence booking .com) Would I go again yes to Torquay not to this hotel. Premier inn next time

Dominating the seafront above Corbyn beach, this iconic hotel is an elegant landmark in Torquay. Sensitively decorated in a contemporary Victorian chic style, the ideals of comfort and relaxation are a priority here. A hotel for all seasons, The Grand is ideal for outdoor or indoor pleasure pursuits: long walks along the promenade; reading by the fire in the cosy library; taking in the panoramic views from the comfortable casual lounge & Brasserie or soaking up the warmth of Torquay’s healthy microclimate on the extensive sheltered terrace. While year-round leisure facilities are on hand in the gym, heated swimming pools, Jacuzzi, sauna and treatment rooms for some essential extra spa pampering and make for a memorable stay.
The girls at the reception couldnt have been worse if they tried. We had to wit 3 hours for our room and it still wasn't ready. They epitomise british customer service - how can i say no to customers. Avoid this hotel unless you are english and used to poor customer service!

A most delightful and charming Manor House hotel tucked into the hillside with breathtaking views overlooking the sea, extremely welcoming kind friendly staff. The surrounding and ambience were wonderful and the food superb, we had a wonderful stay and look forward to our next visit and to see Don and Craig, two of the many kind staff who looked after us and made the whole experience wonderful. Do not hesitate to book here you will not be disappointed.

Just returned from a 7 day stay at this hotel. What can I say this is an excellent hotel and if your going to Torquay look no further than this hotel. The hotel has excellent staff. I just hope management know what an asset they are to the hotel. I hope the company looks after them well. Food excellent. We had evening dinner in the Grand rubbish this hotel is far far better. Nothing is too much trouble the waiting staff and the ladies on reception are all lovely people. If I had a small comment to make was the shower cubicle was a little small but worth putting up with for a good hotel. Thanks Alan room 117
