Reviewed By PairADoxCycleThis hotel is right on the River at the Hafen/Harbor . Very friendly reception personnel. Really nice rooms with views of the river and the docked boats . Right next door to a really good restaurant also at the river’s edge. On the bike trail with bike parking in the rear . Rooms are good sized , clean and comfortable. Toilets are nice with great shower water pressure. Breakfast was very good with hot and cold food choices. The major disappointment was the horrible internet connection and availability. If you had to do any Internet work you would be sorely out of luck . I spoke with the reception gentleman on the next morning and he agreed with me that the Internet was horrible but didn’t seem too concerned. This is a nice place to stay - just make sure that you don’t need the Internet for the night that you are there !!

Located directly on the harbour in the fishing town of Tönning, this friendly hotel offers classically furnished rooms and a traditional restaurant, just steps away from the Eider River. Reviewed By CayaEmilioWe visited here as we always hear about it & it has a very prominent location in Tönning - you cannot miss it! Anyway - we got seated. 2 of us had a Schnitzel with cream sauce & mushrooms and we asked for roasted potatoes instead of rice - not a problem. When the dish arrived - at was easy to spot that the mushrooms were not fresh, but came directly from the jar. Same for the cream sauce - straight out of the sauce powder package. Very disappointing for a well known restaurant. The 3rd member had a fish plate - with salmon, plaice & cod. Salmon was good as was the cod. The plaice was plain boring - normally a very nice tasting fish. Here no lemon - no salt etc. Had a dill sauce with the fish - sadly also here straight from the pre-fabricated sauce powder package. All in all - too pricy for the food you get and is clearly a classic tourist trap. Service was ok. The food was nothing special & there are several other locations to choose from in Tönning. Very annoying that they do not have a non smoking area outside!

The restaurant comprises up to 180 people and offers rooms for meetings and events.The green beach , the pool and the tennis courts are only 50-100 meters away and in just a few minutes walk from the center of Tonning with the historic harbor and the Multimarket Wattforum .

Reviewed By PairADoxCycleThis property is one of the nicest hotels/motels that we have stayed in on this six week European bicycle tour . We read the previous evaluation scores and were somewhat surprised by the low scores that this property got but the later scores seemed to improve and the price point was reasonable so we decided to give it a try . The reception was great - friendly and helpful . Our room on the ground floor had a cute little patio and the view on the Strand was very nice . Room was quite large and was very bright and clean . Bathroom was clean , large and had toiletries. Dinner was available but we ate across the way at the Poseidon Restaurant which was excellent as well . Breakfast was very good , bountiful and in a very pleasant room with a view of the Strand . Close to town and the bicycle trail . This place far exceeds the rating that it was given and is definitely worth a stay for a day or more .

Reviewed By creoslWe stayed there for two nights. Everything was good but the room price is high. The area around Tönning is nice to vist. All in all nothing special about the hotel expect the very pleasant staff at breakfast.

Reviewed By dagiundnorbertSehr gute Alternative zu den Hotels. Die Zimmer entsprechen Hotelstandard, die Betten sind bequem, für unseren Geschmack etwas weich. Das Bad hat eine bodentiefe Dusche und vor allem ein Fenster. Föhn ist vorhanden. Das WLAN funktioniert ausgezeichnet, der Fernseher ist auch mit dem Internet verbunden. Die Zimmer werden während des Aufenthalts nicht gereinigt, das wussten wir aber vorher, es hat uns nicht gestört. Das Frühstück wird im Nachbargebäude (direkt daneben) in Büffetform serviert und lässt keine Wünsche offen. Die Lage ist ruhig und dennoch zentral, eine Supermarkt ist direkt neben dem Seminarhaus. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich.

Reviewed By Alex758758Rooms were sold out, so I booked this apartment for a very reasonable price, having breakfast with the "room only" guests. Large bedroom that can sleep 3 people and very large kitchen/dining/living room. Kitchen equipment leaves nothing to be wished for, everything spotlessly clean. Located in a quiet residential area, not far from the center of the lovely little town.

Reviewed By Anna SHad four nights, enjoyed the style, the way it was decorated. Nice warm personal. The two dinner we had were very nice. Central location, easy to get around Wif-fi a bit slow - we will go back next time we to the area.
