Apart from their hostel, they also run a couple of so called cabaňas which are really expensive for what you get. We booked one at the booking site based on their description but at first we were accommodated in a windowsless room (the booking confirmation specifically mentioned "view" in their room decription..) and only when we complained, we were moved to somehow better place with garden window, but still: The bathroom was dirty when we moved in and with toilet flushing malfunction on the top of that. Some of the beds were impossible to sleep at and must have been used for tens of years already.

Malka Hostel is situated on the top of a hill where you can appreciate a beautiful view of Quebrada de Humahuaca, a local archaeological place. The hostel has five different cabins which are all clean and safe. There is hot water provided by solar energy because our hostel is an ecologic hostel. When you wish to cook for yourself our guests can use our well equipped kitchens and the barbeque as many times as they need!
Words are not enough to describe how magical Malka is. On the top of a hill overlooking Tilcara and the gorgeous mountains, a nest of rooms set in beautiful nature. The room I stayed was spacious yet homely. The cafe area is a lovely respite where you can make tea and fresh orange juice. And the yoga/ meditation studio is available for some time off. I had a massage there and it was gorgeous! The owners and workers are so lovely, welcoming and helpful! Bottom line: I’ve been travelling in Argentina for a month and this is the best place I’ve stayed in, so much so I didn’t want to leave! Cannot recommend it enough!

In Casa Colores you will feel like home! Me and my boyfriend were planning to stay there 3 nights and and we stayed 5! Mateus is really friendly and helped us with everything. He is owner for 2 months and did everything for us to be confortable. We even cook together the first “asado” that we ate in Argentina! The place is beautiful, outside it has an amazing view of the mountains! I totally recomend it!

Just meters from the bus terminal, El farolito hostel offers accommodation in shared and private rooms. Breakfast included, Wi-Fi, hot shower 24 hours, kitchen and parking. If you need gluten free or sugar free diet, ask for your special breakfast!
Stayed in this hostel 2nights in May, in the 6 bed dorm downstairs. I can not recommend it as we got bed bugs and it really ruined our following week. Pros: - next to bus station - the girl at reception was welcoming and helpful - big outdoor space - nice kitchen - breakfast is included (tea, coffee, bread, butter and jam) Cons: - BEDBUGS in the 6 bed dorm downstairs - the rooms are dark - mosquitoes in bathrooms Am sure there is a lot better options for the same price in town

No volvería.
