A wonderful hotel in the historic downtown district of The Dalles. Stay in the heart of the Columbia River Gorge with its many outdoor activities. Stroll the charming streets of the historic downtown taking in the history and dining in the local restaurants. Enjoy complimentary continental breakfast, free Wi-Fi, fitness center, and seasonal outdoor pool.
We stayed here 1 night on our way to Leavenworth from Crater Lake National Park as part of a road trip. We booked same day we stayed which made a small delay on check in but nothing too bad. We originally were planning to stay at hood river but the Dalles area is so much cheaper and way better value. The room was spacious and clean. Well appointed and good conveniences such as a good sized fridge, microwave and big TV. Beds were comfy and bathroom/shower was excellent. Sleep quality was great and nice dark curtains. Free parking and breakfast included. The Dalles Inn was excellent value for money and we recommend you stay and we would happily stay here again.

Clean, great breakfast with lots of choices. The location was great along the Columbia Gorge with great views above the town. The room was quiet and the staff was very nice. Parking was good. There were a few blemishes, such as peeling on the bottom of the bathroom door from water damage (at some point), but the rest of the room was very well kept. We would stay there again.

We stayed for 3 nights in the Columbia River Gorge area. We had a comfy room and king sized bed with a seating area. We liked the walk in shower. The fitness center was adequate. We did not try the pool. The breakfast had a lot of variety of foods. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful.

We were a last-minute booking to avoid camping in a steady rain. Attracted by the very reasonable $20 pet fee. A king room was spacious; the bed was firm and comfortable. We were at the far end of the hotel and heard no traffic noise from I-84. Both the front desk and the breakfast staff made you feel welcomed and valued. As "free" breakfast goes, this one was very good. Also appreciated the large parking lot accommodating oversized vehicles.

If you or your friends are in the area and looking for accommodations, we will be happy to host you. The Shilo Inns The Dalles is situated on the Columbia River off Interstate 84 overlooking The Dalles Dam. The Dalles offers visitors grand beauty, clear skies and sunny weather. Experience Shilo's special brand of hospitality and free amenities when you stay in any of the 112 rooms, many with a river view or outdoor deck. Kids under 18 always stay free with an adult at Shilo Inns. Dogs welcome with nominal fee.
First, be wary of outfits claiming to be the hotel itself. Reservations.com is not to be trusted. We booked through them unknowingly for $107 night. Actual was $167 with fees and taxes. The hotel itself should be bulldozed. No hangers in the room, sink was broken, only two dim lights in the bedroom, a toilet that flushed every 20 minutes during the night, sliding door to the deck that hardly slides, threadbare linens… We’d been better off in Motel 6. No, we didn’t complain, we’re writing this review instead. It’s just paying attention that irks us.

This Super 8 seemed a little less than what we've experienced at other locations. The room and bathroom were clean and OK. The bed was a little hard - not the best mattress we've seen among Super 8. The Wyndham app did not get our reservation in as expected, but the desk clerk took care of us and that worked out ok. Later when trying to get ice, the machine was not working. The clerk did not mention that there was another machine. I found that out the next morning. I would say this stay is OK, but next time, I might go further down the road.

Housekeeping likes to knock before you've even checked out which was a bit frustrating. Other than that they were great. Minimunof200minimumof200minimumof200 Minimumof200minimumof200minimumof200 Minimum
