Reviewed By SueB1760Larry, the manager, was superior. He went over and above what I would expect. We saw him doing any job that needed to be done. He even came to each room individually to get our tv connections back up and running. The hotel was very clean and the housekeeping girl for our room was fantastic!!!

Reviewed By 296hidekikWe have stop by this place just 30min from Galveston place where busy and pricy place. This place made us extra $150 budget for a dinner compared with Hilton brand on beachside. Since it was family trip, upgraded room has suites that has 1Bed room and living room, that was right choice and does not have many room in the floor. It always corner and room was spacious. One missing things is lack of USB port in room even decent modern taste room. I recommend to have USB charger in my bag.

Right in the middle of Houston and Galveston, the hotel has a great location. It's close to the Texas City Dike, Kemah Boardwalk, and other popular attractions. The hotel rooms have free high-speed internet and WiFi, free hot breakfast, 37-inch flat screen TV, and a clean and fresh Hampton bed. The hotel features a heated indoor pool and whirlpool, fitness center and business center.

Reviewed By dasreiseteamOur room with a king size bed was quite small and dark. The bedcover had stains and a cigarette burn and the curtains were badly stained. Otherwise the room was clean. The toilet flush didn’t work and nobody would come and fix it but we got another room. It was very quiet and the mattress was alright but the cover felt uncomfortably stiff. The breakfast didn’t deserve the name: a paper bag with an egg, sausage and cheese croissant to warm up in the microwave and a terrible sugary piece of coffee cake, coffee and orange juice. There are several restaurants within walking distance but we didn’t eat out. We stayed in Texas City because we were going on a cruise out of Galveston and the price was much better than on the island however, we would not stay here again.

Reviewed By Wrldtrlr77The hotel was clean, the room was nice size. Staff was friendly except the lady doing breakfast. Hotel had zero insulation between walls. We could hear everything everyone else was doing. Complimentary breakfast was a joke. When we asked the woman working breakfast she said what was there is what you get. So except the noise and rude lady at breakfast it would have been nice.

Reviewed By Samuel PStayed 8 days on personal business trip. Stayed there before and wanted to return. Problem was that an over zealous desk clerk double charged me. She refused to read the registration papers with ALL the pertinent details, including my prepayment for the entire stay. Forced me to pay again. Sent my bank account into the tubes on all of the auto-pay deductions for the next two weeks. Thankfully the bank paid them, but of course, I was charged BY the bank for all of the payments + fees. The over payment was refunded + only one of the "Insufficient Funds" fees. Several several others were never paid Never, Ever going back..

Reviewed By myers756My additional comments.. would be I have to change my room twice because my family was given two rooms that where not cleaned and had dirty bathrooms and hand prints on the head board with sticky white stuff on the chair in the room and the table including left over food in the refrigerator and dirty gym clothes. Every room we switched to had a mold smell. I am very unhappy with the state of service and cleanliness of this hotel. As we where there for a softball tournament for our daughter and wanted to stay with the team to have that softball family feel and sadly we stuck it out just so our daughter could have her first softball team experience on a hotel. I will not be going back there and I hope this gets to management because, the conditions of your and staff member being rude at this Best Western hotel was unacceptable.

Reviewed By AdNormVery clean and well taken care of for the most part. Trash bags in the trash cans. A big plus. Lavatory did have some minor hairline cracks. Decent shower head with decent flow rate. Ran out of tissues after two or three pulls and no so parent spares in the room. Good blackout curtains, reasonably quiet for motorcycle weekend. Hair blow dryer, microwave, refrigerator. Nice amenities.

Average hotel - poor breakfast quality
Reviewed By D9741KBryangSeemingly brand new hotel. It's clean and convenient to the clear lake area but that's about it. The breakfast is a total joke. I have seen prisoners served better quality breakfast than what this location chooses to serve ita guests. The management really cheapens the Marriott brand by skimping on quality breakfast, and the breakfast attendant needs some customer service training. Overall it's fine for passing through but that's about it.
