These people have no idea how to run a hotel. Was attending an event in the area for work. This was the official hotel with a group rate so stayed here. The group rate was only valid for four nights but I needed to stay one night extra on each end, six nights total. They had no idea how to handle it. Firstly, I was unable to book the group rate online or via 1-800 central reservations. I had to call the hotel directly. It took several calls for them to actually answer the phone. Once I got a human on the phone, comprehending pre and post was like explaining Newtonian physics to a caveman. Eventually seemed to be sorted but then no confirmation information arrived. Days later I was still wondering if I had a reservation. Attempted to call back but again, no answer on several tries. Called central reservations who did confirm I had reservations and set them up to be joined so I wouldn’t have to move rooms. All seemed well. On arrival, I checked in with a young kid who was nice but mostly clueless. Still seemed well. They still struggled with my conjoined reservations and I had to get new keys on day two. On the next to last night, the batteries pooped out on the tv remote. Went to the desk to get fresh ones. When clueless pulled me up in the system he says, “you’re checking out tomorrow?” I said I wasn’t. He then said he needed my card to extend me the additional night even though my original reservation was through the Sunday night. Then says he can’t fix it and I need to speak to the manager in the morning. In the morning, I go to the desk and the manager is a Chinese lady who barely speaks English. Not only is she super confused, she decides she needs to charge me, again, for the previous four nights saying she she doesn’t have my charge slip. Im watching her shuffle through like ten charge slips from the cc machine. I’ve been here for five nights already. How could I be in the ten slips she’s holding in a 100+ room hotel after so many nights?!? Baffling. After an agonizing 20 mins while she’s trying to build me a new reservation for one more night, it seems to finally be almost over. More struggle with the credit machine. More struggle with making new keys. Insane. On a side note, the rooms are nice and the housekeeping is good.

Had a billing issue and General Manager Joseph Andreas would not return calls after several attempt's to get ahold of him by phone and email. The front desk employee give so many different answers and not sure which one was correct. i do not have any intentions on staying here again.

The check in was unprofessional.. they didn't know whether the people had checked out yet. We were visiting family, so we spent the day with them. When I wanted to shower the next morning, the shower head was full of hair. DISCUSTING! The bed had what appeared to be blood. The door was water stained. We couldn't shower, and when I asked for a manager I was told she wasn't in. I told her I would be back. When I returned she said the manager had been there and checked it out. Nobody has contacted me about this. I complained to corporate.. no response.

We had our little dog with us. We were given a room with filthy carpet; the bedspreads were questionable as to the last time they were laundered; and to top it off, there was a very thick hair (beard?) in the tray that held the shampoo and conditioner packets. The linens were clean, and felt ok to sit on the sheets rather than on top of the bedspreads. The bathroom appeared to be clean (except for the beard hair); but the paper ring that was on the toilet seat lid that said “sanitized,” appeared to be worn/reused. The pillows were flattened. We were afraid to inspect the pillow inside the pillow case. The remote control’s cleanliness was questionable ?. $106 for this. Additionally, they advertise free cable—there was only one channel that worked (not a premium channel). We were shocked that being located in the heart of downtown Tehachapi that they couldn’t provide a cleaner room, at minimum.

NO GYM, NO POOL, NO golf course (golf course mentioned on their website, but we were told its been closed for over 6yrs), NO onsite amenities except a jacuzzi and a list of outdated movies to borrow.. Limited front desk hours, closes at 5pm. Not sure why its considered a resort? literally nothing to do. People there are nice. Yes, but that's not why we paid a week stay. To add to that, local to do things (museums, thrift stores, wineries) closes at 4, closed permanently, OR open only on weekends. Lastly, I tried to take an uber or lyft to one of the wineries and there was NO Lyft or Uber available, I tried several times thinking they are busy but nothing. We tried to make the best of it by taking walks (theres a pond next to resort and some wild life like reindeer), cooking inside, watching movies. Stuff I do at home, didnt feel like a vacation. I was very disappointed. This is more of a weekend get away since most things open on weekends and open past 4. Also, warning regarding kitchen sink. Its the smallest kitchen sink I have ever seen. The faucet is too big for the sink it can pour water on counter top if your not careful. Only 2-3 dishes fit in the small sink so you have to constantly wash dishes to free up the sink. Its best to use the dishwasher. It has so much potential hope they make improvements. Bringing back the golf course would be nice, adding a pool on site and open and expand the gym, maybe a pool table, something, anything to feel like an actual resort. I let them know I had a medical condition and needed to use the gym and they still refused to let me use it, even though the gym is open everywhere else. i had to bring my weights from home which makd packing and unpacking a challenge. There are only 2 restaurants down the street a pizza place and burger place. So Not worth the points. Best part was people seem nice and some hiking trails. Thats it. Great if you just want to stay in read and write a book or something. Other than that, for family vacation I would consider going elswhwere. My kids were bored to death.
