Perfect Hämeenlinna break
Reviewed By sassyray_2008Perfect location for a break in Hämeenlinna. Very central for shops, great staff and food. The bar staff were very welcoming and looked after use well. We had amazing food in the restaurant both at breakfast and in the evening. The pool and Sauna were great for relaxing

Nice Different Place
Reviewed By dadsasdasdA nice, different place to stay in downtown Hämeenlinna. Review based on a one-night stay in March’22 (background of spending 80+ nights per year in different hotels around the globe). Location: Quite well located just on the border of city center, away from the main commotion but still just a short walk away from the restaurants, shops and bars. The main bus station close by, distance to the railway station 1.5km. With car the E12 highway is very easily reachable. Room: Had a room at the ground floor next to the main entrance. On the smaller side but enough for a single night without any big luggage etc. Some issues with soundproofing though, as the room has just a regular thin door to the corridor. So it was rather obvious every time somebody entered the building or went out. Having said that, luckily there was not really any major problem. Room was very clean, no signs of usage anywhere. Etc: Good breakfast served to the table. Check-in & out was very efficient. Would I return there? Yes sure, a nice place offering something else than the regular big hotel experience

Peaceful and Comfortable stay again!
Reviewed By vasavaprThis was our third stay at this hotel. Decision to choose this hotel was easy and based on our previous positive experiences. During this stay we were travelling with an infant and requested a room with a crib. We were not just given a room with a crib but it was also a room with a great view of the lake Vanajavesi. Our room was clean with all the usual amenities (locker, tea/coffee maker, small fridge etc.). The bed was very comfortable, bathroom was clean and shower was tidy. Our daughter also slept well in the crib provided by the hotel. The breakfast was usual Sokos breakfast with continental and finnish options. It was good spread with lots to choose from. The hotel is within short walking distance from the railway station and within walking distance from the city center. The Häme castle and other tourist attractions are within short walk from the hotel. Parking fees at hotel were reasonable at 14 EUR/day. We had a peaceful and comfortable stay at this hotel. We will certainly consider staying here again.

Reviewed By 4dmbrownWe came to Hämeenlinna for a friend's birthday and stayed at the Scandic because it was convenient to the location of the party. We were excited to visit Finland and stay at a spa hotel by the lake and we're not disappointed with the location or the views from the hotel. The room itself was of average 3* hotel quality - nothing fancy but it was clean and had basic amenities. The included breakfast was good and the views from the restaurant are amazing. ? We didn't eat at the hotel restaurant because we were warned by our friends not to, so I can't comment on the rest of the food. So great location, friendly and helpful staff, 3* facilities and a great breakfast. All in all it's OK.

Sunnuntai aamuna oli omatoimi aamiainen, joka sopi oikein hyvin meille jotka noustaan todella aikaisin. Maanantaiaamuna olikin jokin toinen versio, joka oli jäänyt mainitsematta meille. Soiteltiin numeroon ja sieltä pian meille takaisin ja niin oli taikoontunut varhainen aamiainen paikalleen ja pääsimme jatkamaan matkaa. Joustavuudesta suuri kiitos.

Reviewed By finnscouserStep back into the 70s..the hotel has definitely seen better days. The rooms seemed to have balconies so they had brilliant views as did the restaurant. Food ok..lunch was reasonably priced - Scandinavian buffet.

Salonsaari Holiday Village is a charming summer vacation resort and its location in the Asikkala municipality on the shore of Lake Paijanne is suitable for most people. We have row house and cottage accommodation. There is a possibility in the holiday village for example. Fishing, boating, mushrooming and of course a sauna.
Salonsaaren lomakylä on ihana paikka. Tullaan varmasti uudestaan!

Mökissä on jääkaappi, uudistettu keittiönurkkaus, viehättävä puulämmitteinen sauna, oma laituri, oma rauha. Aivan rannassa on iso laituri, soutuvenet, sup-lauta, nuotiopaikka ja maailman paras rantasauna. Todella ystävällinen ja avulias henkilökunta. Kiitos kaikesta Jari ja Esa!
