Reviewed By Go67912731345Check-in was fast, the lady at the front desk was friendly, and our room was very clean. In the morning, the was plenty of hot water for showers. Also, the hotel was only 10 minutes away from Golden Nugget casino in Lake Charles.

Clean Rooms and Friendly Staff
Reviewed By V5245GVFound this hotel to have clean rooms, friendly staff and reasonable rates. Rates lower than other hotels in the area. Rooms were clean and spacious for two adults with daily room service. Room (202) was at end of hall and very quiet. Staff was friendly and was very happy with ease of making reservation with desk attendant Sherry. Bed was very comfortable but pillows were a little too soft for my liking although they may be fine for others. This was not a showstopper for me, just used two pillows. No hot breakfast but packaged breakfast sandwiches and pastries including waffles were tasty and filling. Cracker Barrel across the street if you prefer hot breakfast. Good location off I-10. Would stay here again if in the area.

Reviewed By AngelasTakeDon’t stay here. Room is awful, old, dirty. Walls and carpet absolutely disgusting. Wet spots on carpet? Sink in bathroom dirty and doesn’t drain. Lampshade torn, holes in walls. Disgusting. And paid $120? Just glad we made it through the night.

Helpful in a time of need
Reviewed By ndstruktAfter our power went out and cell phone service went down following Ida, we decided to head west and luckily we were able to find a room available here. Certainly not the nice or best hotel I've ever stayed at, but it had a decent bed, cold A/C, and a warm shower, and that's all I needed at that point. I suggest asking for a 3rd floor room; otherwise, you'll hear the people above you. Unfortunately the guests in the room above us sounded like they were re-enacting WrestleMania all night, but I had earplugs with me so I was able to drown out most of the noise. Overall, I was satisfied.

We missed it and had to do a U-turn. Room air seemed stale, humid, slight chemical smell. Wall heater emitted an off odor. We tried two rooms and both had the same air problem. I’m sorry that modern motels don’t have windows that open so you can get some fresh air. Desk chair too low and would not go up due to broken pump mechanism. Very nice breakfast except oatmeal was like cement. Breakfast attendant very kind, could use a helper when hotel is busy." So it is clear to see that some of the rooms may have an off smell to them. I was charged for smoking in the room in which I clearly did not do. An earlier complaint was also made as breakfast was taken up 30 minutes prior to the cutoff time of 9:30. Be cautious and check your bill prior to leaving the area. Hotel management will not correct their mistake.

If you are traveling through town going somewhere else, this is a great stop! If you are staying for a few days this is also a great place to stay! I would recommend this Days Inn to everyone!

Reviewed By silld700Cockroaches on the bathroom floor. We were there 2 minutes and said we were leaving. Front desk said he would refund us when we showed him the pictures. We never recieved our money back. The young man was very nice.

Good place to crash for the night
Reviewed By TravelJunkie27_13Front desk hospitality was great. Breakfast was somewhat lacking for what I have come to expect from a Fairfield. Room was not very clean, especially the shower and floor. Room was missing a hairdryer but I called the front desk to request and one was quickly brought up. Our room faced I-10 and I never heard any road noise.
