Pleasant hotel with good location

Reviewed By 844bj_rnw

Quite nice hotel with a premium location in central Stralsund. We stayed in the annex which was just across the street from the main building. Nicely furnished and spacious rooms with great beds and a lovely bathroom. Breakfast was OK but not more. Parking was an issue as we had to use a park house some 300 m away. Overall good value for money.

Hotel Baltic Stralsund

Stralsund – where picturesque red brick buildings meet stormy Baltic Sea charm. The Hanseatic town delights and dazzles, a fact that was rewarded by UNESCO with World Heritage status. Just a stone’s throw from the old town you’ll find the Hotel Baltic. The perfect starting point for leisurely strolls through the narrow lanes, past the many red brick churches to the famous tall ship and training vessel Gorch Fock. Want to explore the Baltic Sea? Welcome aboard!

Falsely accused of smoking, lied to regarding to it

Reviewed By 114joaod

Stayed a month in this hotel and on the first week I had to quarantine in the room, during this time the hotel accused me of smoking (and I do not smoke at all). They told me that there was a picture of me (a guest) by the window smoking taken by one of their staff ... Well during quarantine I was on my underwear all week so I don't think it was acceptable both the false accusation and the lie regarding to the picture to try to intimidate me.

Wonderful stay in cozy hotel

Reviewed By Dasylu

I stayed four nights in this cozy, lovely and clean hotel in Stralsund. I was in town for my aunt‘s funeral. The hotel is conveniently located, just a few steps from the train station in a quiet residential street. There is an Avis rental car agency nearby. It is a 12-15 min walk across the green belt to the old and new market places in the old town. There are take-out restaurants nearby. For a sit-down dinner I highly recommend the Wulflam Stuben across from the Rathaus at the Alter Markt. I had asked for one of the hotel’s comfort rooms with a splendid view of the old town panorama across the Knieper lake. At night the churches and the city wall are illuminated. My room was spacious and clean, with a modern bathroom. Everybody of the hotel‘s staff was very friendly and made me feel right at home. The breakfast buffet was excellent. You need to ask for it to be included with your room reservation. It costs extra. I highly recommend Hotel am Jungfernstieg.

A new home for a holiday, business trip or end of the week treat, the Kontorhaus is a substantial addition to the hotel branch in Stralsund. We are happy to welcome you.

An excellent hotel with a lovely breakfast...very personalized. A terrific location on the harbour close to terrific restaurants. We would recommend it. Our room was comfortable with nice amenities...much like a boutique hotel...touch of class! We did not speak German but they had some English. We were very satisfied.

Dinner with family

Reviewed By Olof P

We didn't stay at the hotel, this review is of the restaurant only. We were a party of 11 people, 6 adults and 5 children, who visited Kurhaus Devin for a genuine German meal in late October. We had some special food requests which the staff handled very well, we all got our food at the same time and it was all steaming hot and very tasty. All in all a very nice meal!

Schweriner Hof Hotel

Wonderful location

Reviewed By Utan_namn

The hotel is very nicely situated between the St.Marienkirche and Neuer Markt and very close to the rest of the old town and pedestrian area. The rooms were quite large with delicate wallpaper and recently renovated bathroom very tastefully decorated. Our only negative comment relates to the WiFi which was very poor and at times almost out of function. One should note if arriving by car and does not want to pay hotel parking (which requires a short walk to the hotel), the public parking at Neuer Markt is very crowded during day time. We did not eat breakfast as we thought it was too expensive (11€ per person).

Aparthotel Markt Fuffzehn

Centrally located spacious apartments

Reviewed By Rovingpublover

A series of large apartnments overlooking the Alter Markt (old marketplace) absolutely in the heart of Stralsund's historic centre. Owned by the upmarket Hotel Scheelehof where you check-in/ check-out, the facility is spotlessly clean and - in hotel terms - well equipped with all the expected facilities apart from a phone. If anything needs attention, you'll need to walk to the Scheelehof or use a mobile phone (the Scheelehof staff speak impeccable English, albeit with American accents!). The apartments are on two floors above a burger restaurant which adds a certain smell of grease to the entrance area and face onto all the bars and restaurants of the Alter Markt. Perhaps surprisingly, I found there was no noise problem from either source, the burger place closing at 9pm and the bars by 11pm. The bed was comfortable, the shower excellent and the whole room spotless as is usual in Germany. Downsides? No maid service in an aparthotel, though for a couple of nights that was no issue and the kitchen facilities are so minimal as to make the "aprtment" title dubious. Just a fridge, toaster and two electric rings. No grill or microwave. Lose a star for that and the lack of a comfortable chair: just two upright chairs and a small table. That said, price, location and comfort all first rate. Definitely worth considering.
