Hiking trails and art galleries abound in Stellenbosch, but it's wine that takes center stage. More than 100 wine cellars, most open to the public, surround the oak-lined South African town, and tasting tours operate daily. Winter brings a four-day festival celebrating the local vintages. The historic town center houses the trading-post style shop Oom Samie se Winkel, the Neo-Gothic Moederkerk church, and museums dedicated to toys, military memorabilia, autos and early life on the Cape.

We booked into the hotel to experience the wine and spa treatments. I was blown away with the location and beauty of this Hotel & Spa. The service from the moment you drive to the door, one is made to feel special, being greeted by friendly staff. The Spa treatments were very relaxing with staff making your treatments enjoyable. The food quality and choice was excellent. Highly recommended.

I absolutely love my home away from home, apartment 12! Every year, I bring a group of students from the States to study at Stellenbosch University. Each year, the staff is so welcoming and treat us like family. I can't wait to go back next year!

Built in 1713, Coopmanhuijs was one of the first grand residences in the heart of historic Stellenbosch, and is now surrounded by the town's many stylish shops, galleries and museums. The rooms in the Manor House and newly built rooms overlook a outdoor pool and a walled courtyard. Guests can enjoy meals from the Provencal kitchen and dine at leisure with a glass of fine Cape wine in the courtyard or in the intimate Helena's Restaurant.
We knew we wanted to stay in town for our Stellenbosch trip and this hotel was perfect. It's right in the center of everything, so we were able to walk to all the places we needed to. Great restaurants and bars close by—Try the Fat Butcher! We ubered to the wineries we wanted to see and it was very convenient and inexpensive. The breakfast here was by far the best breakfast we had our entire two-week trip traveling the country. The pre-set items were so fresh—the fruit tastes better in South Africa, I swear. Then the hot breakfast they prepared for us was always delicious. The waffle with berries was my particular favorite. I still dream about it. The service was impeccable. They had a bottle of champagne waiting in the room for us when we arrived for our honeymoon with a lovely card. Each night, they also put a bottle of water and late night treat on each nightstand during the turndown service. This was a great detail. Our room was very spacious with a lovely view of the main street. Although this hotel is older, they've done a great job keeping it updated. The bathroom has heated floors, the tub is very spacious, and the shower has strong water pressure. The bed was very comfortable too. We will definitely be recommending this hotel to friends and family.

Spier, in the heart the famous Cape Winelands, is more than a hotel. It is a destination in itself. One of the first hotels in South Africa to be Fair Trade in Tourism certified, Spier offers visitors a variety of authentic experiences - from food and wine to outdoor activities - in beautiful surroundings.
Amazing location, quality accommodation and great restaurant. I only stayed one night I wish it was 3. Amazing grounds and wild life. Lot of activities to enjoy. The wine tasting experience is well worth doing amazing quality wines and advice - I not even a wine drinker!

Situated on one of the world's most beautiful mountain passes, Clouds Wine and Guest Estate is one of the jewels of Helshoogte. The relatively small, private estate is a working farm that produces its own wines. It also offers premium guest accommodation that blends designer luxury with all the modcons. A stylish destination surrounded by incredible views, a stay at Clouds is difficult to forget.
We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. Well located, with stunning views of the mountains. Right next to the Delaire Graff Estate. Modern decoration. Our room, on the side, was very nice, and spacious, with underfloor heating. The hotel was empty. Just our room and one more. I did not like it because we had a feeling of a little bit of isolation. Very good breakfast. However, two points left to be desired: 1. The receptionists seemed a little inexperienced. Maybe because the hotel was empty, the main employees were off....I don´t know for sure ....They weren't very friendly. Any question I made the feeling I had is that I was bothering.... not usual in a luxury hotel. 2. Every night below our room it seems that a machine started to work. At first I thought it was some kind of maintenance that they were doing at the hotel at dawn, taking advantage of the fact that it was empty - which would be disrespectful to us who were there but then I think it was a boiler or something like that was activated in the middle of the night and It made a lot of noise in our room. As a light sleeper, I woke up every night. This is one point that would make me not recommend the hotel. However, overall the hotel is beautiful, in a prime location. We checked out at 4 am and they provided us with breakfast to take away, which was very nice of them.

Loved the staff and the venue was idyllic! Carol, the kitten, made it all the better! The staff helped us throw a mini wedding that was planned at the last minute. They made us feel so welcome and special. The afternoon tea and cake is a winner. The beds were AMAZING and the fire in the lounge made the place feel like home.

A beautiful place to stay with stunning views and excellent accommodation The room was spacious and the bed was super comfortable. The room was neat and clean with a spacious bathroom offering luxurious bath and body products. The room I booked was with a heater and the wood was ignited whilst we were at dinner. We returned to a warm and comfortable room. The staff were friendly and very accommodating with our needs. The breakfast was delicious with generous portions. This was a great stay and we will definitely be returning

Award winning (perfectly located) Village hotel - ambiance of a Stellenbosch house - consist of 13 rooms and 3 fully serviced semi self-catering units in a nearby 1928 listed house in the historic centre-Stellenbosch. Walk to 60+ restaurants, antique shops, museums, art galleries and the University. At the Minserie Str House we have 3 semi self-catering units. In keeping with the established standards which you would expect from Eendracht, we have added another building 5 minutes’ walk from Eendracht. The same - but totally different. The building is a 1928 listed house that was restored in its original Art Deco style.
Elegant and luxurious with a friendly and comfortable atmosphere. Breakfast is delicious, a dip in the pool is a must as well as a nightcap by the fire. Central location, clean and well maintained room with all the amenities for a weekend getaway. Friendly and expert staff, especially Edmore and Laetitia. Thank you!
