Marked by the Tatra (called Tatry locally) Mountains that form the country’s southern border with Slovakia, Southern Poland consists of three Viovodships (Provinces): Opole, Silesian and Lesser Poland (Malopolska). Many beautiful medieval castles are still found in the region, including Moszna in Opole and the massive 400-room Ksiaz in Silesia. Lesser Poland is home to bustling Krakow, the country’s third-largest city. The region’s mountains and green areas are perfect for outdoor adventure.

We booked this hotel expecting something a little special as it was priced at the higher end of the scale with historical significance being the oldest hotel in Krakow. However we were very dissapointed. The lack of facilities is shocking in this day and age. Considering we booked our room with breakfast we expected a restaurant and bar. NO. The hotel has neither. The breakfast is served in a cafe next door. You cannot get any form of food or drink from the hotel. Even the tea and coffee facilities provided in the room is only sufficient for 1 drink each. When we requested more from the reception we were told it would cost additional 2zt per cup and if we didn’t like that then we could use a vending machine…. The male member of staff was very rude and simply added it’s not my coffee!!!! To summarise - This could be a lovely hotel but at the price you are paying you expect a better level of service and at least polite and helpful staff!!!

Metropolitan Boutique Hotel is established in a newly renovated 19th century building, perfectly placed between the Old Town Square and the trendy area of Kazimierz. It is ideally located away from the noise, yet only minutes walk from the city’s main attractions.
Great hotel would come back again We booked a family room and a twin room. Check-in was easy. Our rooms were ready when we arrived. The family room was huge. Two massive rooms with interconnecting door. The room was nicely decorated, comfortable bed, mini bar and usual amenities were all there. The best was each room had its own air conditioning unit that you could control. Breakfast was really nice. A good selection of hot and cold food. Nice selection of fresh fruit, pastries, juice and freshly made omelette. Coffee was super nice. We also had lunch one day. Food was great and got 10% of food bill. The food was really delicious and large portions. Evening happy hour is nice. The cocktails are lovely. Great location. The main square is 10 min walk, castle is 15 min walk and the Old Jewish quarter is a 7 min walk. Easy to get around walking or quick Ubers. The highlight of the hotel are the staff. Always smiling, friendly and helpful. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Awesome hotel with a fantastic view of the town square. The centre was hopping even though we were there on a Sunday. Our room was spacious & sound proof and the bed very comfortable. Mini bar had a bottle of Prosecco & soft drinks included. Also had a jetted tub for 2. ☺️ Great breakfast as well and the staff were amazing. I highly recommend this hotel. Only regret is we didn’t stay longer.

My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary the hotel and team were amazing. I emailed them and they helped with every single enquiry. When we arrived it was like meeting friends, they could not have been more lovely and helpful. They were amazing, they offered us a drink and kept us up to date about our room (we arrived early) and we sat in the garden. They took our luggage up for us. The room was spotlessly clean and we had everything that we needed. Spent some lovely time sitting on the balcony in the sun and peace and quiet. The hotel organised our transfers and trips and were brilliant. We didn’t want to leave and will definitely be back soon. The hotel is in a quiet street and was peaceful and safe. I would highly recommend this hotel. The team are outstanding and the housekeeping team were lovely and do an exceptional job.

We came to this hotel to escape another hotel we were staying at. This hotel was clean, quiet and modern. The reception staff were lovely. The location was very close to everything. Me and my partner stayed there as a last minute booking. The room had 2 single beds but we were able to wheel them together. The room had darkened curtains and the beds were comfy so I had great night sleeps. The only thing i would say is a negative was that when we moved the beds there was rubbish underneath. Not particularly bothered by this but some people staying might be, so might be worth telling the cleaners to check under the beds when cleaning. Other than that it was a lovely stay, I would stay again and recommend to a friend
