Travelled to Southern Pines from Manchester, England. Our daughter has been an athletic student in the USA for the past 5 year’s this was Louisa’s final golf event; we had to be there. This hotel could not have been better, perfect location, clean rooms, friendly and helpful staff, we could not have wished for anything more. If you are in the area, this is the place to stay.

Our first stay at SureStay or Best Western. At the time of reservations only 2 hotels with 1 room available. We choose Sure Stay because of the photo comparisons. Thank GOD. We did not expect such a quality stay at a budget-friendly facility. The costs were within budget, with free breakfast and internet. The rooms were remarkable. Yet, most importantly STAFF is who/what we remember the most. Every person we came into contact with served us with a smile while ensuring we had everything we needed for our stay. Thank you so very much.

This place is old now. it was dirty. The desk chair was so filthy I sat on a clean towel to use it. The lampshade was full of holes. Carpet was dirty and had burns on it from someone dropping or placing the iron down. At nights little kids running around making a lot of noise until late. A school bus actually stops here as though they were permanent residents? There was an old van up on a jack missing a tire next to my parking spot but when I left it had finally been removed. The people on the desk were nice. Every night she replaced our keys that no longer worked. I do hope Wyndham steps in and redoes this place. Internet was easy to connect to but spotty in strength. breakfast is something you'd be better off going out for.

First of all, when I checked in the girl at the desk had trouble with my company credit card. After calling the credit card company, found out that according to their records she never really tried it so she must’ve been doing it wrong. As of this writing in April 20 22, they are renovating this place so there is construction equipment and materials on the west side of the property. Apparently the room I was given was not renovated yet. There were no USB charging ports, and it was a handicap accessible room which I specifically did not select when I booked the room. The shower worked OK, but turning it on was a mess and the spout for the tub felt like it wanted to pull off of the wall. Room 104 sucks. The bed was comfortable but Marriott and Hilton need to get together. Marriott has better mattresses but Hilton has better pillows. Just my opinion

First time stay at the Talamore Golf Resort. The villas were great for 4 golfers. We had a hot breakfast brought to our villa every morning and 2 nights there was a great pig picking feast at the resort. Very clean and cleaning service every day. Looking forward for our next trip here and playing the golf courses at the resort.

Nestled in the fragrant pine forest of North Carolina, you will find an experience unlike any other: For nearly a century, golfers have reveled in the serene ambiance of Pine Needles and Mid Pines Resorts. Two 18-hole Donald Ross designed resort golf courses have earned us our place among the country's best golf resorts – and one to which our guests and USGA Championships return to time and again. We deliver brilliant golf paired with southern hospitality in a casual atmosphere right here in beautiful North Carolina.
The Pine Needles Golf Course is a great, traditional course. Certainly a must play course. However, the accommodations are dated and need an upgrade in every possibly way. The rooms are dank, dated and just not worth the stay. I really enjoyed the golf, but would stay at a different place. For a resort that is about the same age as its' neighboring Pinehurst Resort, there is simply no comparison in accommodations. Go for the golf. Pine Needles, Mid Pines are A+ golf courses.

Built in 1921, our stately Georgian-style Inn is renowned for true Southern hospitality and distinction. The Inn at Mid Pines wears her age with grace and charm. It’s as though you’d expect to see Sam Snead holding court at the bar, or Julius Boros showing his putting stroke to an admirer in the lobby. Many of our 103 beautifully appointed rooms feature original antiques, with all of the comforts of home. In addition to the charming main hotel, we offer villas with kitchenettes (microwave and fridge) overlooking the 4th green and 10th fairway. Enjoy 21st century conveniences in a historic setting.
This is a first class Donald Ross golf course. The staff on the course were good. The hotel staff did their best but this is an old, very tired, somewhat dirty place. It’s a shame. The staff does what it can but torn screens, peeling paint and similar lack of maintenance along with almost historic bathrooms make this housing unacceptable. This place is coordinated with Pine Needles and while it is also old, it’s in generally better shape and with very good staff. Insist on staying there.
