Never disappoints

I wrote a review of this hotel a few years ago. We loved it then and have returned from time to time, the standard of welcome and service never slips. What spawned this new review, we were fortunate enough to be staying on Jubilee Saturday when the hotel offered a Jubilee afternoon tea. What a wonderful experience. Champagne, delicate sandwiches with thoughtful fillings, homemade scones and jam, Jubilee themed cocktail and all crowned with a selection of hand crafted cakes that would not been amiss in the Savoy. A warm ambience was supplied by a truly excellent baritone singer and pianist with nostalgic songs relevant to the occasion. Caroline, the general manager, and her team put on a thoughtful and memorable occasion with their usual high standards of service. All in all an excellent afternoon and stay.

What can I can about this amazing B&B. I have been a travel agent for 15 years , and now I work in a 5star hotel and I must say this place is something special. I did my normal 4 hour search to find the perfect place for an overnight (50th)getaway and I found it. Jonathan and Karen are the perfect hosts, and check-in was a breeze, they made us feel very special . We stayed in the deluxe King with a balcony. Omg, what a room and the most amazing view. We sat on the balcony sipping bubbles looking at the water.... Bliss. This is a real little find, it's a must. Do yourself a favor and go, we will be going soon for sure. Thank-you for an amazing stay.

Good value. Coffee very good. Room was white painted, i prefer color but ok. River view. Staff are very good. Compared with Merchants Manor Hotel & Spa it's far better. Merchants Manor Hotel & Spa don't even give you a kettle in your room to make tea, and the young manager there is bossy, pushy and unpleasant. Greenbank is a far better experience.

Fantastic hotel

Reviewed By davidsP1878YT

We really enjoyed our stay at Harrington's Hotel, and we can highly recommend it. Our only regret was be unable to stay for more than one day. We loved the location on a small old town street. It was great for walking around the city, and right across from a very nice pub. The rooms are charming and well adapted from the original old buildings. The cooked to order breakfast was delicious. Most of all, the staff was very friendly and amazingly helpful. Our transportation from Bath was in late afternoon and they were very gracious about our hanging around the common rooms after checking out. When we inadvertently left behind a small sentimental object, they located it and posted it to our next destination hotel! We really can't recommend Harrington's enough!

Lovely accommodation, brilliant breakfasts and welcoming team

We had the pleasure of five nights at the Gannet Inn for our honeymoon. It is well located in Carbis Bay for trips to the beach, St Ives and other amenities. The welcome we received was very warm. Special thanks to Helen for your recommendations and Ryan at breakfast times. Our room, Kittiwake, was on the top floor and had a lovely sea view. We were able to take advantage of the offer to spend half a day at the nearby Carbis Bay Hotel and Spa, overlooking the beach. I would recommend guests with mobility issues research the transport options as the hill back to the inn from the beach is very steep! Overall we loved our stay and will come back again. Thank you all!

Lovely building and staff. The downside - the room was hot on the first night which made sleeping difficult. On the Sunday evening it appeared the meal had been pre prepared and warmed up, not the same experience as the previous evening. The overall impression was that I was overcharged, a pity.

Best service would recommend

Excellent hotel in ideal location a couple of minutes from the high street. Parking 2 mins away £15 per day. Staff are exemplary in both the hotel and restaurant. They greet everyone with a smile and are very attentive and always courteous which is of exceptional service levels. Hotel decor is fabulous and room was very quirky with a fabulous bathroom. Breakfast was exceptional. Best we have ever experienced with top quality ingredients. Drinks tables are available outside the hotel. Hotel is spotless and there are hand sanitiser stations. The only fault was the high temperature in our room which could have been because it was on the top floor. The window only opened a little way and the air con wasn’t great and wouldn’t drop below 18. Perhaps provide summer duvets and allow air con to be set lower and then this hotel would be faultless.
