Reviewed By Jochen ADon't bother there are a lot better Hotels in the area, the good thing is that H+ Hotels will no longer run the Hotel, last booking is for 19th December (So the staff said)… so there is hope that a competent company will take over the hotel. One point about H+ Hotels… their staff although being left alone and have no idea what is going to happen with their jobs, still doing an amazing job, but the management is questionable seeing that there is no open communication with the staff… a real shame but a example of a company that thinks profit over their staff.

Reviewed By Oleva1202Aufgrund einer Tagung bei eigener Anreise habe ich nach einem günstigen Hotel gesucht und hier gefunden. Zimmer war sehr klein aber sauber. Das Bad ist renovierungsbedürftig und nicht mehr zeitgemäß. Frühstück war einfach, aber wenn man kein großer Frühstücker ist wie ich, völlig ausreichend. Für eine Nacht völlig ausreichend.

Die Zimmer sind gemütlich, die Betten bequem, die Duschen gross und auch für Brühwürste geeignet. Wir werden wieder dort übernachten, wenn wir in Solingen sind. Wohlfühlfaktor 100%.

Our Hotel is in the center of Solingen.We have good highway connections which give our guests (especially our fairguests) immediately and comfortably access to Koln (Cologne) -30km and Dusseldorf-25 km. Our rooms are cosy and confortable and all have shower/WC; SAT-TV, writing desk, Telephone and minibar. Free Internet. Privat parking,Garage 10 Euro. Decent hotel
Reviewed By graemeb69Hotel is set off a busy road junction but quiet enough. Staff were OK and breakfast was not bad at all. The rooms were spacious, clean and quite. The location was very good as it was only stones throw from the town centre with the bars and restaurants in plentiful supply

BAD BEHAVIOUR FROM THE MANAGEMENT FOR HANDICAP PERSON AND FOR VERY HONEST AND CLEAN
Reviewed By 157maryavWe had the trip for 8 hours after 7 days after the operation and my mother in law got tired and she had to rest as I make sure around 4 pm when we arrived back to the hotel that my mom get her sleep and relax, as well we decided that the 7th, 8th she will not stand up from the bed. Friday she will start her physiotherapy rehab. So she got in bed, and I make sure she relaxes and at the same time I went to my room couldn't give her silence. I called my husband ( her son ) and we were chatting over the phone when suddenly he told me his mom call-in so I jump to her room to make sure she is ok. When I enter her room she was accompanied by 2 ladies (one mother of the general manager of the hotel and another lady that he is in charge of the maintenance of the hotel... ? so sad. Instead of coming to my room and ask me about the damage, they went to my mom room and wake her up, stress her though very bad behavior ( my mother in law she is of Arab nationality and I'm an Eastern European citizen ) and ask her (65 years old ) to pay €5000 for damages ?and they were rasing voice and they were pointing guilty to a women that passed through operation and she is old enough to deserve silence. And I asked why €5000( we are not rich) ? And they told me that they are germans and I should pay anything a German ask. Felt so bad for my mom in which I asked the management to call police and not to continue stressing my mom, it's my room not hers... Police came on MY request and they told me they will arrest me and they checked my room detailed enough, they was talking to me German language (I speak English and Greek ) and made me feel like I did a crime or something for just 1 lamp and 1 water heater ? As except this try asked me if I have insurance (3 d parties liability ) ...?? they just need money Make sure u one of them otherwise ?

Reviewed By 893natalijasI stayed for five days and for five days the elevator was out of order so I had to drag my luggage along the stairs up to second floor. The rest was fine. the staff very friendly and helpful. The room was clean. Not many auxiliaries available, but still all what is necessary was there The breakfast - not many variations but fresh and simply perfect. I loved the fresh bakery staff Although all the old reviews were related to the noise of the railway station, I admit that there is not such a thing. I had super relaxing evening in a nice, comfortable bed. Only the pillows need to be changed

Reviewed By smaugbertSuch a lovely hotel! Small, with a few very nice and newly renovated rooms. We had a family room, so spacious with two bedrooms and a large bedroom. Even nicer than we expected. Access to a kitchen where you can buy snacks and drinks. Friendly staff and a great breakfast served mostly at the table. A small village with nice surroundings and restaurants. We were just passing by, but would definately come back and stay more nights. Highly recommend if you are in the area.

Reviewed By Zoey MEin ungewöhnliches Hotel in einer schonen Lage! Ein tolles historisches Gebäude ca. 400 Jahre alt mit direkteres Sicht auf Schloss Burg. Das Hotel ist genau das richtige für Menschen, die es unkompliziert mögen und keinen schnick- schnack wollen! Die Zimmer sind einfach und gemütlich. Es gibt grosse rustikale und gemütliche Aufenthaltsbereich zum Gesellinnen Beisammensein und eine schöne Terrasse mit Blick auf die Burg. Wer Luxus und rundum Service erwartet ist ihr falsch. Der Besitzer ist immer ansprechbar und hilft immer gerne weiter. Getränke, kalt warm mit und ohne Alkohol kann man sich selber nehmen und bezahlt sie beim auschecken. Abends haben wir noch gemütlich mit den anderen Gästen gegrillt. Der Besitzer hat Würstchen auf den Grill gepackt, Kartoffel- Nudel- und Krautsalat auf den Tisch gestellt und jeder konnte sich bedienen. Hinterher haben wir alle ein paar Euro gegeben und. Gut wars. Meine Freundin und ich war zu einer Convention dort und für unsere Bedürfnisse war es Gold richtig. Besonders toll fände ich es, dass ich nach der Veranstaltung am Späten Nachmittag noch Duschen könnte, da es im Kostüm sehr warm geworden war und nicht total klebrig nach Hause fahren musste. Ich fands super!
