Make sure to pack your wellies, because Snowdonia National Park is one of the wettest spots in the U.K. Besides being soggy, it’s also pretty impressive. A fairly easy hike takes you to the top of Yr Wyddfa, the highest peak in Wales (topping any peaks in England, too), where peregrine falcons nest in the jagged cliffs. The park also has the largest lake in Wales, Llyn Tegid. It has its own Loch Ness-style monster—called Teggie, of course—though some figure it’s just an unusually large pike. This Snowdonia’s wonders can also be found on a smaller scale. Keep an eye out for the Snowdon beetle, which has rainbow stripes down its back.

An amazing hotel, just over the wooden toll bridge, turn right. You will not be disappointed. From the amazing food, music, to the very friendly staff. We were made to feel very welcome and didn’t want to leave. My visit with my sister cannot be faulted. A pudding is a must! Be sure to visit.

The lunch we enjoyed at the Royal Oak was one of the highlights (foodwise) of our trip. Good food, excellent service, knowledgeable staff, nice setting and plenty of shelter - outside - from the rain. Superb

The Royal Victoria Hotel Snowdonia is nestled at the foot of the spectacular Llanberis Pass under the shadow of Snowdon itself on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park. It is set within 30 acres of gardens and woodland, cradled between Llyn Padarn and Llyn Peris. This is an ideal location in the heartland of North Wales for a breathtaking and memorable stay. Rooms are spacious with all modern amenities. The Hotel offers three restaurants, bar, residents lounge, five meeting/conference rooms and ample car parking.
Arrived in a cold and damp day. The reception we received was just the same. The lift was broken so was faced with walking up 3 flights of stairs with heavy cases ( we were on a road trip) . We opted to grab an overnight bag and glad we did. The room was quite a way from the reception with over 50 stairs each way with king corridors i between The bar and restaurant was good although staff stood around talking for most of the night and not attentive to ours or others needs. The food, however, was outstanding and very tasty. Our room was clean and very nice. Our view was overlooking the gardens. The bathroom had a bath and shower with soap and plenty of towels. Breakfast was good. A vast variety of foods for all tastes. The host and lady serving the hot buffet were the only friendly people throughout the entire hotel Overall, the service lets this hotel down. Beautiful surroundings and location with nice rooms unfortunately the staff just are not friendly

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel and we were not disappointed. It is conveniently situated, the facilities and food is great but most of all, the staff are friendly and helpful and go above and beyond. We shall definitely be visiting again. Thank you for everything you did for us.

Met some friends here at lunchtime for drinks/meals/chats . The place is ‘old’ but has character and the tables are well apart in the spacious rooms. Lovely food (I had gammon and triple cooked chips) . The service was very good and we will definitely visit again if we go on holiday again in that area. Park at the ‘Marian’ car park close-by (£3.30 for 3 hours).

Location excellent. My room was very small (especially the bathroom) but it was lovely and clean and had everything I could want. Bar was great. Dining less so. I had ordered a meal one night when the chef came into the bar and announced to everyone that he was not going to cook any more. Taking him at his word I left and ate in another hotel. However after I had left, a meal turned up and had to be paid for. Apart from that meals were fine.

After returning for a short brake in Wales we booked in over the phone for three days in a row to dine before setting out for our trip Supper friendly staff ( lady) booked us in and could not have been more helpful ? On arriving with my son the first night the place was packed ( as it was every evening ) and we were shown to our seats and given a menu and advised of the specials For That day The food is amazing value for money The staff can’t do enough for you even when rushed off there feet All in all an amazing experience each day And we can’t wait to return in august To see boogie ( my son loved seeing him again a true character with amazing customer service) and all the staff and owner You all would be proud of the amazing friendly place you have built as a business x

Seventeenth-century coaching inn in the heart of Snowdonia. Award-winning restaurant, full of charm and character, beamed ceilings and open fires.
Lovely old Inn within walking distance of Betws-y-coed, HOWEVER: * Limited off street parking (almost all cars parked on side of busy road) * Only one cell phone bar if you’re lucky * Best case, you’ll get one WiFi Bar in any area of property, to include Bar/Dining Room, and even then it’s very intermittent * All tables are reserved for dining (e.g. nowhere to just have an evening drink). * In my case, I was asked to leave a table as it was ‘booked’, and instead recommended I take my drink to the ‘Resident’s Lounge’, where it turned out Staff were having there dinner on their laps (felt very strange to me) * I do not recommend room #12 as there’s literally a dinning table outside your door. I laid in bed listening clearly to a couple’s entire dining conversation.

Bryn Llewelyn is a friendly and comfortable Guest House in the centre of the village of Betws y Coed. The B and B has its own private car parking and free WiFi. Bryn Llewelyn provides excellent base for exploring the Snowdonia National Park and North Wales. We have been accredited 3 stars by Visit Wales (2017)
I had a return visit to this b&b and can confirm nothing has changed …. It’s still a smashing place to stay in the village of betws-y-coed. Ben and Sarah are great hosts and will do anything to make your stay a good one. The breakfast is from 8-9am which allows for a sleep in for me anyway. The cooked English breakfast is really nice using fresh local ingredients, but if you want cereal, yoghurt, toast and fruit that is on offer too ! The b&b is well appointed and I thought it represented outstanding value, again I really enjoyed my stay.
