We booked a apartment for two nights for 1000 ron. We called prior to ask a room not on the ground floor, once arrived they said that our type of room is available only at ground floor. We made a upgrade with 50% more on the original price. So we asked to see one room, receptionist seemed upset about our request, refused to offer us a room at higher floors saying the rooms are not available. Was a Sunday evening with three cars in the entrance, other receptionist confirmed later that they had free rooms- I guess the lady was not in the mood to help us. After check in we found huge amount of ants in the kitchen infesting our baby dishes,(picture was done after we removed everything we could catch) dirty walls which were like that from some time, water leak in the bathroom. The hotel does not have a restaurant so we ordered in room dining, selection is a comunist joke of a breakfast- eggs, ham, cheese, jam, juice and coffee. On check out we informed receptionist about our issues, funny or not, the ants exterminator just entered the hotel and heard our discussion so decided to join, saying that it is a known problem and they will use chemical substances. In a couple of minutes the lobby started to smell badly afer those chemicals were used in other rooms. My complained remained without anu answer, the receptionis was happy that our discussion was heard by the cleaning lady!!!!! I will not tell anyone how to run their business, but this a total lack of respect for the guests paying 100 euros a night with complaint not listened by a manager, lack of profesional management and prices matching 5 star hotels but with no basic conditions. Sadly for the beautiful city of Sinaia.

We enjoyed very much our stay at Vila Camelia. Beautiful house, with a vintage air, with a beautiful living room and a very large chimney, large and clean rooms and also clean bathrooms and a very nice restaurant with a diversity of dishes. It's a 5 minute walk to the city center and very close to the atractions that Sinaia has to offer. The staff was very nice and polite. If you want an incredible experience, Vila Camelia is the place to stay. We will definitely return.

The hotel has 180 rooms prepared by designers in different surfaces and colors which can satisfy any requirements. The hotel customers are offered room service, beauty shop, laundry services, conference centre consisting in conference rooms of different capacities, a business centre equipped with a PC permanently connected to the internet, the possibility of organizing sightseeing to the area sights, a new relaxation centre with a swimming pool, jacuzzi, dry and wet sauna, and a fitness hall. The hotel restaurant can serve up to 300 people, and the chef offers delicious dishes from the Romanian and international cuisine.
Things to note: 1) the hotel has two sides- one is renovated and decent , the other is old and creepy and dirty. If you don’t know this, they automatically give the old rooms. I’m not sure when I’ve seen a grosser pillow, carpet or shower. We were able to change rooms after we discovered that 1/2 the hotel was renovated. Even in renovated room no wifi, AC was broken and phone didn’t work. 2)the spa was absolutely packed with people and super loud. 3) we had 50 minute deep tissue massages that were very mediocre- we didn’t feel like the people had any training or experience and wasn’t worth the money. Overall, super mediocre and overpriced

The hotel looks good on the outside, but on the inside thinds look different. The heating system works only in certain conditions the personnel on the reception is impolite and you have to wait half an hour to check in,there are not enough parking spaces and nobody cares. The breakfast is ok in the first part of the morning, later is not ok. The staff of the restaurant is friendly and the food is ok. The room is clean and towels changed daily.

Not necessarily the best hotel of our trip, but it was nevertheless a beautiful and historic building, breakfast was good and copious and the price was great! Location too is pretty good, with nice views over the village and the mountain and a parking space. What I liked less I guess was the room itself, a bit soul-less... 5* for the price and value for money!

Welcome to SMART Hotel, where the charm, beauty and character of traditional design blend with the comforts of contemporary technology to provide a unique setting for both business and leisure...SMART Hotel is located at 16, Theodor Aman Street, in Sinaia, a charming 19th century retreat which is currently one of Romania's most sought after mountain resorts. Nestled in the Bucegi mountains, on the upper valley of the Prahova river, the resort is overlooked by the Varful cu Dor and Piatra Arsa peaks.
Very clean, very cozy! Staff was polite and ready to do anything to make you feel good and like home! The location is very good as well. Not very far from city center (aprox. 700 m) and in a peaceful area where you can enjoy the nature, birds and the sound from the so called waterfall. 5 stars from me because the hotel is also pet friendly which is a biiiigg plus for animal lovers! Overall, excellent service!

It is a great hotel close in the city center. It is further away from Peles and Pelisor castle but a 20 minutes walk. The room is nice, but not special. The bed was very comfortable The people at the reception are very helpful. Breakfast was very big and had a lot of choices, although the staff was a bit fast with removing plates and glasses (especially because I was by myself). You can make a reservation for one and a half hour for the pool, which was a great pool with sauna. Also it can be crowded. Overall it was a great experience and I do not regret going here.
