Before coming to Sichon we looked at a number of places on line. The reason we chose this place was the amazingly helpful and pleasant communications we had with the owner in advance. Although she works in Bangkok she answered emails and was full of help and advice. It was a very good decision. Her parents and staff look after the place when she is not there and are very pleasant and though they speak little English this did not matter at all. Rooms are a good size and very clean We booked a room with a nice balcony in front. We stayed for three days and wish it had been longer. We loved Sichon with its markets and beach and nearby waterfall. It is such a nice and friendly town. @Sichon Resort is around 4km out of town but they have free bicycles and arranged a motorbike for us anyway. The common kitchen is a bonus for heating through food. We hope to come back to Sichon in the future and would recommend this resort.

My family visited on a day trip. The Sichon Cabana Resort is exceptional in their service and facilities. Excellent ambience from their casual lobby to their beachfront restaurant. The recently renovated beach front restaurant is aesthetically designed making Sichon Cabana Resort a MUST VISIT if you are visiting the area. There’s something for everyone in the family. A sandbox area for your children with plush cushion seats to keep an eye on your kids. Surfing lessons or private boat trip can be arranged. The food served at the restaurant is delicious. Definitely coming back again.

Small hotel located on the quiet Sichon beach near fishing village and coconut farms.
Our first time to sichon area, very quiet but a super place to just chill for a couple of days. We stayed 2 nights the rooms where new and clean. The Wi-Fi was great and the tv had lots of choices and also your own netflix app. Shower was great power. Restaurant was way too expensive, 150 for a fried rice ! If you had made normal Thai prices we would of eating there both nights. Anyway we enjoyed it here and return again some day. So you still get 5 stars from me.

Prasarnsook Villa Resort is located at the quiet and private beautiful Hin Ngam Beach, Sichon, Nakhon Si Thamarat, South of Thailand. Whether you are looking for a place to rest and relax for a while, a honeymoon, a wedding ceremony, even a business meeting/seminar, our resort is the unforgettable and unbeatable experience for you. The resort offers you both short and long stay accommodation where you can get away from crowed tourists and explore natural atmosphere - white sand beach surrounding of our resort. Our bungalows are with balconies and most with a clear and nice sea view or of the pleasantly cultivated gardens at the centre of the resort. Come and stay with us! It's time to experience the difference
It is located at seafront of Sichon. Great for sea lovers. - the room is fairly clean, but reeks! - The food was okay, but the staff have no hospitality and service-mind. - You will have to wait 2 hours to be told you have to wait much longer - the staff will offer you “ WTF are you waiting for GO!” on there face.

B & B toco is a place to lelax, to be pampered! A comprehensive daily breakfast, bikes are ready to enjoy the beautiful surroundings, massage room for one of our various massages, a cozy bar-lounge for a drink.
2 days with Jan and Parn ( the owners) was too short. They were so accommodating with help, advice where to go and the services were perfect. Their knowledge of the area is second to none. The bungalow is new and impeccable in every way. The standard of hygene and facilities is 100%. The location is perfect with 2 minutes to the beach and 2 minutes from the town centre. The swimming pool is crystal clear and perfect temperature So many great restaurants close by and the owners know them all.

….DOESN’T GO OUT OF ITS WAY TO PLEASE WESTERN TRAVELERS. Here’s the thing – the 70 km of coast south of DON SAC (the mainland pier location for the very popular SOUTHERN GULF ISLANDS) has some great beaches, but you see very few western travelers – this is the preserve of Thai holiday makers and local beach users. SICHON is typical. Hell, very few people understand English in town or the general area. Refreshing - I’ve always found few problems communicating wishes in such places. “Refreshing” because you instantly understand you are not in SAMUI/PHANGAN/YADA where everything is tilted towards westerners’ ideas of beach holidays. Thais’ wants are different – so when you go down to the beach very few people are swimming and sunning: Thais prefer to sit in beachside bars/restaurants downing lotsa food and drink, fossicking in the sand and rock pools and maybe paddling in the water. Most don’t worry about swim-suits – they just roll the jeans up and go for it. The whole thing is perfectly relaxed – I particularly like the “sitting in beach restaurants/bars” thing. Not crazy. Ir was similar with my resort, THIPBUREE. This very good value lower mid-range place is a Thai version of a MOTOR INN/MOTEL They don’t care about western wants – for instance the joint has NO POO L (what was the last western motel you saw minus a pool?) No-one understood English well – okay, they dragged the teen-aged relative out who had a VERY basic high school knowledge, but otherwise I got on okay with sign language. THE JOINT – as said a kinda motor-inn/motel – looks recently built: several 2 storey blocks, a few villa type places, mine a single storey room which had a very motel-like presentation – sliding doors, rendered cement + tile. Space for 3+gear. Well equipped but you stock minibar. I couldn’t change TV channels. Big bed firm but comfy. Lights dim but bathroom brilliant for readers. Aircon sinfully quiet (noisy aircon the main reason I prefer fan rooms). Nice outside balcony. Only 50m to the southern half of the beach. Great value for money. Seemed popular with traveling Thais – parking lots 70% full late on a Monday morning. My motorcycle taxi guy from town knew where HIN NGAM was but didn’t have a clue about THIPBUREE’s location (understandable: nearly all guests are middle-class Thais with their own vehicles/Tom Tom likedevices – don’t need motorcycle taxis). I gave him 70 baht for the 4km trip + 20b tip for the confusion. Latter is what he'd get for a short trip in town. THE PRECINCT - The HIN NGAM RESORT PRECINCT lies behind the beach and across the narrow isthmus to the south. This 700x160m area is all resorts/hotels, some looking about 20 years old, others like THIPBUREE quite recent. There are about half a dozen places, almost exclusively Thai style and ranging in standard from lower-mid-range to true mid-range, maybe better. The latter may be a bit exxy by Thai standards but pretty good value in western terms. There are several beachside restaurant/bars along here, most attached to resorts but a few’re independent. I used ISSARA BEACH RESORT’s restaurant next to THIPBUREE (which hasn’t a restaurant). Great sand-side position, very comprehensive Thai menu (not big on western stuff), popular with local walk-ins, and the cheapest beer all 3 weeks of my mulit-stop Thai trip. The efficient waitresses didn’t understand English but they still knew what “beer” meant. THE BEACH – this gets confusing. The main beach our front is called SICHON BEACH despite the HIN NGAM area directly behind. Many people think it’s called HIN NAM BEACH, but that is directly south and is a boulder beach, nowhere near as attractive. TRIPADVISOR has dedicated pages on both. SICHON BEACH - is pretty nice. It’s about 750m long, not too narrow at full tide, the water is fairly clean and shelves normally offshore. I saw some reviewers’ pix showing beach erosion and litter – these are probably from a WET SEASON VISIT when strong prevailing onshore winds wash a lot of flotsam and jetsam onto the sand and can cut the beach pretty badly. From early experience, I avoid the southern Gulf including the trendy islands in wet season (usually late Sept into early Jan). Good value is spending time exploring the tracks on the headland just south. DID I MENTION FEW WESTERNERS? -in my 3 days there I saw no other westerners on the beach or in the busy town. I did notice a few older farang couples in SICHON CABANA’s (maybe the most western orientated of the resorts) restaurant when I checked the menu. SUM UP –this beach is the perfect place for travelers wanting to see how Thais do coastal visits. And THIPBUREE RESORT is just the place if you want a good value lower midrange Thai oriented place.

Ekman Garden Resort is a family owned little hotel in the village Tonriang at road 401 65 km north of Nakorn si Thammarat. It has one of the most beautiful gardens in south of Thailand and a restaurant that serves delicious food to the guests. There is a 15m swimming pool with a connected jacuzzi and a 8m children's pool. Distance to a long sand beach is 1,2 km. The resort can arrange excursions to interesting places like Sunanta waterfall and Talae Noi.
Just spent a lovely few days here at Ekman Gardens enjoying the beautiful surrounds and wonderful hospitality from Anna and her staff. This is a really lovely place to stay, especially for families, if you are looking for a taste of Thailand away from the hustle and bustle. It's not too far to get to islands from here, as well as the famous Chicken Temple!

Stayed here for one night as part of my 2022 north-south road trip. One of the nicer properties that I've stayed at recently. The hotel is fairly new, very modern and stylish. The room and bathroom are very well appointed and comfortable although the room is a bit small. The air conditioning, hot water, refrigerator all worked fine. The room includes a water boiler and complimentary coffee and tea. The linen, bedding, towels, ETC. were in excellent/new condition. At a walk-in rate of 900 THB, including breakfast, I thought it was a pretty good deal. Parking is available for those who self-drive. I would stay here again for sure.

Modern bungalows right on a very quiet beach. A perfect place to get away from it all. Not easy to get to, so have your own transport. There is no restaurant but owner will help you order a delivery from a local restaurant if you ask. Note: There is a mosque over the road so expect prayers early morning and note that alcohol is banned on site.
